Framing 1: that the environmental crisis is about our children's future. Yes, it is. But the implicit message of focusing on that is that the environmental crisis is not about people's damaged and disrupted present.
Framing 2: that there is time to fix the environment rather than us already being in a situation of disaster management, where there is a lot to do urgently, but which won't fix the situation - just give us more of a chance to be reducing potential impacts.
Framing 3: that the environment matters to us because of economic impacts, rather than because of our simple survival, safety and quality of life.
Framing 4: that acting on the environmental crisis is about finding funding to clean up the problems after they have been created by the economic activity (eg tourism), which for many sectors is simply lying.
Framing 5: that it's about the natural world, separate from us. Yes, it's about the natural world but not apart from our own part of that natural world. If the natural world is not "saved" then ultimately humanity is not saved.
Framing 6: that the issue is "saving" something rather than us being liberated from systems that force, cajole & reward us to contribute to destroying environments due to monetary & economic systems & cultures that emerge from them (consumerism, mortgages, conformist careers)
