Fully immunized Manitobans will now be able to travel without having to self-isolate for two weeks upon return with a new, secure immunization card that will be available to people two weeks after they have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
To be eligible to receive an immunization card, Manitobans must:
• have a Manitoba health card;
• have received two doses of a vaccine; and
• wait 14 days after getting the second dose of vaccine, so it can take full effect.
The digital and physical cards contain no personal health information or data. Rather, the cards only show the person’s first and last names and a QR code. When scanned, the QR code will show the person is fully vaccinated.
Once someone has successfully completed the online request, they will automatically receive access to a digital card. There is also an option to request a physical card that will be mailed to the address on the applicant’s Manitoba health card.
Fully vaxxed folks will also be allowed to visit family and friends in personal care homes.
Should be noted: This is for domestic travel only. Federal quarantine rules still apply for out-of-country travel.
For people asking, I have no idea what this means for 12 and under who can't get vaccinated.
More privileges are coming, but there are only two today:
1. no need to quarantine upon return from domestic travel
2. allowed to visit PCHs
Families with children under 12?
They are also exempt from quarantine rules.
So families can travel.
On people outside of the province who are fully vaxxed coming into Manitoba:
Says it's in the works, but not being announced today.

Pierre-Luc Dubois says he wasn't hurt. Bruises and scratches like anyone else. Nothing major that affected his game.
Dubois says he didn't play as well as he should have, as well as he knows he can. Calls it a disappointing year filled with ups and downs.
"The only person here to blame is me."
Dubois says he will look back at this year in the future knowing there wasn't much he didn't go through, from quarantine to injury to no practice to finding the perfect fit on the team. Says he had a hard time finding what he could do.
Andrew Copp says they need to find a way to be harder to play against and be more consistent each night. Says they have some of the pieces to do that.
Copp says nothing is off the table in terms of contract negotiations, including a long-term extension.
One of things he wants to know is the plan going forward.
Copp feels he's taken steps since he went to arbitration a couple of years ago. Also understands Winnipeg's perspective back then with contracts. Says he wouldn't change a thing.
Doesn't think two years ago will impact contract situation this year.
