The goal of this action is to ensure Zim knows their profiteering from Israeli settler colonialism is not welcome here, not to be arrested.
Block the Boat Guidelines
@palyouthmvmt 1. Do not talk to the police. There are police liaisons whose role is to do this. If police talk to you, direct them to the police liaison.
2. If you have a concern or need help during the action, talk to an organizer. Organizers are wearing brightly coloured armbands.
@palyouthmvmt 3. Should you need legal assistance, the BC Law Union is available to assist 604-876-1452.
4. Be prepared to be flexible and ready to march.
5. If the cops arrive, follow the instructions of the organizers who will help move you to a safe location.
@palyouthmvmt 6. When you leave the action for any reason (washroom, going home, etc) always go with at least one other person and preferably in a group. Do not go by yourself.
@palyouthmvmt 7. A washroom and free coffee is available (5 min walk) at 706 Clark Drive on the corner of Georgia Street. It is a red building called the Centre for Socialist Education.
Almost 400 people have been arrested at the blockades on unceded Pacheedaht and Ditidaht territory as Indigenous land defenders protect the last old growth forests.
What an absolute fucking farce. I call @mikefarnworthbc's office and the administrative assistant and explain I'd like for Mike Farnworth to stop criminalizing Indigenous peoples and stop killing poor people via the drug toxicity emergency.
He goes on to say that he can only do
so much as an administrative assistant and that Mike Farnworth is very busy and the structural change you are demanding of your elected officials may not occur.
Then what the fuck is the point of your entire administration existing? What is the point in calling and emailing?!
If my emails aren't even going to the Minister himself and he's not responding and is not being held accountable for his role in murdering people in this province, then he needs to go. This entire government can fuck right off.
