I laughed out loud when I saw this. CNA was sworn in as CM in April 1967. He was diagnosed with cancer in July 1968, left for treatment in the US in September 1968 and died in Feb 1969. In between, he went on a tour to the West for 2 months in April-May 1968. A grand total of /1
14 months actually serving in office. His major achievements are:
- Renaming Madras State to Tamil Nadu
- Passing an amendment to the Hindu Marriages Act
- Removing Hindi from school
- Announcing a rice subsidy that was walked back
Symbolic and empty. He faced no serious /2
challenge - no ethnic tensions, no natural calamities, no floor tests, no breakaway factions. Spent an entire lifetime in opposition making rambling speeches and conducting silly protests /END

Chellam Sir is an exemplar of why we, as a nation, are such under-achievers. He's the Vidhayak Chacha of 'Deus Ex Machina' plot devices. Everytime the writers have absolutely no clue on taking the plot forward, he just steps in. The fact that we make a big deal of him also /1
shows up our mindset as a people. Like the fact that in one of our earliest rockets launched out of Thumba had to be ferried to the launchpad on a bullock cart. Because they failed to plan for a truck. And we think that it is a cool thing to do. This, by the way, is something /2
even our most celebrated writers have done. In Sivakamiyin Sapatham, one of the late Kalki's worst novels (which was the first made into a movie, predictably), the Pallavan Emperor plays 'Deus Ex Machina' disguised as a sannyasi to help a young prince woo his own daughter /2

The pathology behind the responses of 'கதறு.. கதறு..' when a patent lie is sought to be refuted. Image
In the case of anti-Semitism in Christiandom, it was hate speech for a century or so --> legal second citizen status for 2-3 centuries--> pogroms starting from Reconquista --> Final Solution. What started as 'just speech' and 'justified grievances' escalated over time into
fantastic accusations - such as medieval tales of child sacrifice. Popular support is less important when the corridors of power are infested for decades with this miasma of hate.

Short illustration of how Dravidam works.
Prof Senthalai Gowthaman claims that Tamil was suppressed as an 'inferior' language by Brahmins. Palm leave bundles in Sanskrit and Tamil were set afloat. By a clever technique, the Sanskrit manuscripts were made to float and the Tamil /1
bundles sunk into the stream.
The truth is that Appar in his dialogues with the Jains is said to have done the same. The Jains doctrine in Sanskrit was said to have sunk and the Tamil works of Appar floated back. What happens if this lie is countered?
Simple. Brahmins hated /1
the thought of non-Brahmins learning Sanskrit, so they had Appar use this technique to make them give up the thought of learning Sanskrit and had them stick to Tamil.
If you point out that Appar was actually a Vellala, you will get only radio silence.
Next, the Kolaru Pathigam /3

Out of 22000 + entities that have FCRA license, 3600 have operationalized an A/C at SBI New Delhi, Parliament St branch.
4900 status unknown. 13800 have not operationalized their account.
Background: Some 10,000+ NGOs received 0 inflow in 2018-2019. One assumes /1
they have taken this license but are not using it, or are 'sleeper cells' to be activated when extra-ordinary conditions like the current situation come by.
Some 5000 NGOs relied on intra-NGO transfers within India for more than 30% of their expenses. Now, they will have to go /2
and get their funds themselves rather than rely on gatekeepers in big cities to do the front-ending for them. One would expect, this set of 10,000 + 5000 will be the ones with dodgy documents which will not pass muster with MHA and with a robust KYC process in Delhi. Earlier /3

Request to PTs: Please send this as an email to Shri Amit Shah and Shri Nityanand Rai
I am writing to you with respect to the situation with respect to Covid-19. Large sums of money have been remitted to India in the last 1 year. Many organizations have a significant cash /1
position. The position as of FY 2018-2019 was as follows:

634 large NGOs hold Rs 9576 crores in FD and cash – an average of Rs 15.1 crores
599 Medium NGOs hold Rs 1349 crores in FD and cash – an average of Rs 2.25 crores
17491 Small and Micro NGOs hold Rs 2189 crores in FD /2
and cash – an average of Rs 12.5 lakhs
It may be useful for these sums to be made available to the Government of India on a provisional basis at the same rate of interest as savings bank accounts. These can be paid into the PM CARES fund or into the MHA's special fund for /3

Sishya - My Guru says X
Skeptic - Well, on what basis?
Si - On the basis of his own experience
Sk - What exactly is his experience?
Si - Those like you who have only bookish knowledge will not understand. To prove myself, here is an incident from book Y
Sk - Well, that is not /1
how the story goes. Here is the reference from the book itself + reference from a derivative text (commentary, subsequent text etc)
Si - That's why people of bookish knowledge will not understand. You rely on books. My Guru can give a scientific explanation /2
based on Quantum Physics, Relativity and Darwin
Sk - Well, let's see this scientific explanation
Si - Quantum Reality Morphed Transition Vortex
Sk - Errmm, which scientific theory/principle/book is that from?
Si - Advanced beings like my Guru know more than mere scientists /3
