Four years ago I came to this app seeking greener pasture after failing at to make sales on Instagram and Facebook.
I spent money running ads no yielded zero results and I even got blocked by some major handles for trying to promote my business in their comment section👇🏼

All I had were hopes and dreams.
I walked in here saying a prayer of God help me be successful on this Platform unlike the others.
I came in here and worked my butts like there was no tomorrow.
I was just a young girl who had passion for cooking and too many responsibilities

I had a family to cater to, I had to work to put food on our table and take care of myself too.
I came here didn’t know how to go about it but luckily I got a hang of it.
Twitter gave me a platform for my business that no other App ever did. I could post and beg for retweets and

I got them.
Gradually people started knowing me cause I was almost everywhere on Nigerian Twitter.
I was consistent, hardworking, creative and always willing to learn more just to see that I got to the top.
2yrs after it finally began to pay off and people started patronizing

Me. I could finally say I am a full time business owner(Foodprenuer) I became an employer of labor and things went well.
Came in daily to show my craft and sales came greatly from this app.
I made my first million on this app and since then it’s been very good till last week..

As I type this I type it in tears and I don’t mean literally.. I type this with too many emotions running deep and so much uncertainty of what things would be for me after this and how it’ll go from here. The people who are attached to me through work, the ones whom I provide for

Everybody looking up to me and asking me what’s next? My workers coming to work and expecting a miracle to happen and I have no idea how and what to say to them but a word from God..
Over the years I built a brand off this platform because God helped me and gave me good customers

I have been making sales this whole months not because i was very active but because I have loyal customers who would look for me when they need my services and luckily they have my contact..
What about other vendors who are just starting out? What about people who live off this

App?
What about influencers seeing themselves through school with the gigs they get of here?
I remember this same platform crowdfunded for me when my brother was ill and I had no money. Someone from here made it his responsibility to send us money weekly till we got discharged

Twitter is home to a lot of us whose voices cannot be heard on other apps and whose crafts goes unseen as a result of few followers and lack of funds to always run paid ads.
Our government didn’t think of us at all before putting a ban on Twitter at all..

Twitter gave us a job and means of earning a living that our government didn’t give us.
Twitter gave us hope that our government couldn’t provide us.
Not all of us are here to go against our Government, most of us are just here to make our urgent 2k and leave. Today even that

Isn’t certain..
How many people can afford data? Food stuffs are now double the price. Electricity tariff has increased drastically. How can we live? Is being a Nigerian now a curse? Everybody wants to Japa.. what about us who can’t afford to?
What about us who just want to feed?

Take care of our sick parents and help our friends?
We are all not criminals you know?
Today Nigeria failed us yet again.
If you’ll take from us at least provide for us..
We want a better means of survival Nigeria don’t steal from us and tell us to be quiet.. No it can’t work

That way anymore.
Is it being a Nigerian a curse I ask again?
Which way Nigeria?
You call us leaders of tomorrow yet we steal from us whilst our Elders still occupy higher positions?
We are all not privileged like your children so please don’t kick us harder than you already did.
