Looking at usage rates of potential signings Hakimi and Haaland. Impressive full season numbers from Haaland but doesn't get involved in building play, a key requirement for a Chelsea forward. Hakimi not at TAA levels in terms of influence from out wide but he is impactful.
Statistically and stylistically, I think Haaland is most similar to Vardy. This is what we thought we would be getting in Werner. The 3-5-2 setup could use a player like that with Mount as a deep creator and Havertz as a link player. But what about when we play a 3-4-3 system?
As for Hakimi, a perfect wingback for sure. Can play on both sides. Makes sense if we trim the squad massively in defense. Reece at RCB excites me too. Think the club are building long term with a 3 at the back formation. Hope that the next guy doesn't flip this on its head.
