Signal boost re: USA exhibition grant money: (thread, RT if you like!) Coby Fdn funds costume/textile exhibits in Mid-Atlantic and New England; now seeking more applicants for exhibition planning & implementation grants; can go to travel, catalog, programs, many other aspects. 1/
Coby: "Supporting Textile/Needle Arts Field": "Projects may be in the arts or humanities, contemporary or historical...all must have a public benefit...may include research and documentation, conservation, publication and associated digital projects." 2/
"Planning grants...allow institutions to secure consultant expertise for research, evaluation (including condition)/documentation/developing&refining art historical&humanities themes. Travel costs may be included...planning funds [can]... commission essays for a catalogue." 3/
A short letter of inquiry is encouraged (see main page linked here). The Coby Foundation has done an amazing job of funding costume and textile exhibits large and small (in New England and Mid-Atlantic). Why not yours?
