I’ve been silent for 3 years. I didn’t address or acknowledge individuals that sought to harm me.
I can’t continue. Abuse of power cannot continue. All of what I share below is backed up with documentation. This very small yet very loud group does not represent the Jesus we know.
Those that desire to remain apart of the SBC must ask themselves
Am I following Christ?
or
Am I serving an idol- a group of men and women, that desire to hold onto power with evil motives, as they seek to control and dictate an agenda that does not line up with Scripture?
A steering committee member of the @BaptistNetwork, @SharayahColter, along with @Candi_Finch released stolen, federally protected, confidential information in an attempt to discredit, intimidate, and shame a rape victim in 2018.
The information released publicly was eventually returned to the institution where it should have remained. Lawyers determined it was was taken without permission. Another member,
@ScottColter lost his job when the president he served under was fired.
Miss Finch lost her job because of her involvement in releasing information with Mrs Colter.
Another CBN member @PiggTimothy has been criticized for allowing a former SBC leader to speak at his church. This leader was fired after concealing sexual abuse on more than one occasion.
Speaking up for the vulnerable and speaking out against the abuse of power is not new.
Jesus sought out hurting people and healed them.
Jesus despised the abuse of power. The Pharisees despised Him. He exposed their evil hearts. They formed groups (committees) to investigate Him
Imagine I am your daughter, your mother, your sister, or your wife.
I was raped while attending a Southern Baptist seminary, or so I thought when I reported what happened. I was influenced to believe what happened was my fault.
After 15 years of silence I learned the truth. I reported being raped in 2003. I WAS raped. It wasn’t my fault. My reaction was met with immediate relief and massive regret.
I thought of wasted ministry opportunities because I believed I wasn’t worthy.
Documents containing information of the most crushing, physically painful memory of my life, were posted online for the whole world to see by a CBN steering committee member.

A crime someone thought they could reverse with a piece of paper.
Are these individuals fit to lead?
Don’t let your daughter carry a secret like mine. Don’t let anyone teach your son he can sexually assault women and go on to lead a church.
We cannot continue to repeat the sins of of those that desire to stay in leadership.
Those who seek to conceal and control. They are disguised as heroes.
Their sins are hidden behind the banner of the untouchables known as those who started the conservative resurgence.
