There is no “Black community,” there are countless “Black communities”
When the Atlanta massacre happened, people kept saying “Asian American community,” like a tic.
“Asian American” itself, could usually stand for more disaggregation/specifity — and now y’all are throwing a flattening “community” on top of it

“Community” flattens more than it illuminates, and it allows people to weigh in bc they are from the ostensible “community” even if they are not at all be part of the cohort affected by whatever issue being discussed
