@JSCZim celebrates its 11th Anniversary. Having been in existence for more than a decade, this anniversary couldnt have been sweeter and better than this following its soon to be rolled out project known as Integrated Electronic Case Management System @GwiziSoneni@signsofhopezim
IECMS seeks to bring to the realisation that justice is there to serve all and can be accessed by all. This transformation of the courts will result in them being paperless &automated thus leading to increased involvement of litigants through the case life cycle @DeafZimTrust
Access 2justice hasnt been easy for a PWD due to countless number of court sessions to be attended. Resulting in a lot of travelling that comes with increased costs. The modernisation through use of Smart phones, internet & virtual court session makes things easier @ZLHRLawyers
This being a step in the right direction, it must be noted that access to the internet in rural areas is limited due lack of infrastructure. Suggestions included having designing of a mobile application that will function without internet &having wifi routers nearby @JSCZim
@JSCZim notes that the country has 32 courts that arent physically accessible& its first project is 2 erect ramps and this will be completed by Sept 2021. Followed by renovating elevators @Tredgold BYO & High court Harare to be done between July 2021 to early 2022 @abrahammateta
@abrahammateta@MasimbaKuchera@KudzaiShava1@MoJLPA
The 3rd project 2 be done by @JSCZim is transcribing Statutes into braille format starting with the maintenance Act, Children's Act, Domestic Violence Act &the Victim Friendly Protocol. All done between Sept 2021-March 2022
@JSCZim looks forward 2 complete its project by July 2021 which is the Sign Language Mannual that sets out guidelines on handling cases involving the deaf this will also capacitate interpreters to further enhance their skills for competence purposes @DeafZimTrust@UNDPZimbabwe
@JSCZim in Collaboration with @DeafZimTrust shall have a Disability Sensitisation Training for the Magistrate's &Front line staff. The Chief deputy Magistrate noted with concern that a greater number of their staff still dont know how to properly address PWDs @DisabilityZim
