Today I encourage every single young person who follows me, to read this profile done on Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett @KizzyPhD as she enters @HarvardChanSPH as faculty. You know her as the head researcher on the Moderna vaccine.

I am so inspired by her.

Verbalizing one’s goals is a risk, because people will know if you fail. But it’s also a critical step toward turning them into reality. Little Kizzy knew it as a kid. “It speaks to putting yourself where you want to be, and really speaking the words to the universe."

The @CDC confirmed 221 cases of myocarditis after COVID-19 vaccination in people 30 and under of 141.5 M fully vaccinated people in the US.

Of the 221 cases:
81% fully recovered
41 still have symptoms
15 are still hospitalized
3 are in the ICU (2 have prexisting conditions) 2/n

Myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle. Pericarditis is inflammation of the outer lining of the heart. They occur when the immune system reacts to an infection or another trigger but often, no cause is found. Symptoms are: shortness of breath, chest pain & fatigue. 3/n

Last Friday, Andrea Bharatt, a young 23 year old woman was on her way home from work at the magistrate's court, in Trinidad. 1/

She and her co-worker took a taxi home, her co worker was dropped off and she was kidnapped. When her father called her phone, a man picked up and threatened to cut her ears off if he did not receive a ransom. 2/

The country went into a hyper vigilant mode searching for her everywhere with a $50K TT reward. A prominent business owner offered $400K for her safe return. 3/
