Had a great day in DC yesterday and crashed hard when I got home, so here are some of my thoughts on the PA-03 race.

1. The outcome was not really that surprising. I thought Rabb would probably win with a divided field. He got a little more of the vote share (44% to 'progressives' and 48% to the 'mods') than I expected but it was basically the same dynamic.
2. The turnout was just pathetic. 21% of eligible voters voted in the primary. Average voters were just not at all tuned in (and probably barely even knew there was an election).

Low turnout in a blue environment is the type of race the left/progressives THRIVE in. Image
3. Rabb way outspent the other candidates. They had the 'big money' advantage. His ads were everywhere. All over TV...you couldn't watch anything without seeing his ads towards the end of the race.

I also got tons of mailers for Rabb and maybe 1-2 combined for the other 2 candidates.

Just getting your name/face out there in a low turnout primary is a massive advantage.

Again, zero mention of the fact that Maine is the whitest state in the country. Alex doesn't want to mention it because it makes the state look bad and as a Real Salt of the Earth Mainer (who moved there a few years ago) he's extremely defensive about it.
Instead it's 'authenticity and realness'...with no mention that the 'authenticity' was completely manufactured by DC Consultants and turned in to a very, very well funded (again by outside money) ad campaign creating the 'realness.'

That doesn't mesh with The Narrative.

The attention economy stuff is spot on but also zero mention that the Pod Save America guys, who helped him moved past it, were very obviously a part of the campaign push.Image
Anyway, it's so great to have the same horse race journalism slop that emanates from every soulless DC politico journo hack, but on a local level.

See this shit is what has been so offensive about this primary; it's been non-stop dismissiveness and gaslighting from people like Jon over very real concerns.

He is lying about the Nazi tattoo. Everyone knows it. His supporters know it. Jon knows it. He's changed his story multiple times and is clearly full of shit.

This part of the article was extremely hilarious to me because if you remember Political Expert Astead Herndon (whose whole shtick is 'I know better than you partisans' and who hosted a podcast dedicated to explaining to people why things were happening) definitively stated that Trump's embarrassing meeting with Zelenskyy would actually BE GOOD politically for him.

And not only was that comically wrong but here you have multiple TRUMP VOTERS saying it was what very specifically made them regret voting for Trump lol.Image

Literally no one gives a shit about this. At all. It's not at all organic. Their is no massive demand for it. It's only from people looking to stir up more shit and internescent Left/Dem infighting......which the Pod Bros seem to have pivoted almost exclusively to doing.
Dems are winning everywhere. Trump is absolutely scuttling. His poll numbers are in the tank. Bad news cycle after news cycle for him.

And the pod bros are putting out 'divisive' content to stir shit up about the DNC.

Unlike with Republicans, all the ostensible 'pro Dem' podcasts constantly shit on Dems because no money/views for saying 'actually, the Dems are doing well.'
