Anyway, I finished The House in Fata Morgana. First of all, the plotting astounds me. Every single line has its own purpose that develops and influences the plot later down the line, melding together into a cohesive and emotionally impactful ending. It's an extremely

consistent experience with breathtaking amounts of thought placed into every single piece of dialogue.

The topic of forgiveness and redemption is a pretty rocky one to handle, but Door 8 manages to deliver an extremely satisfying conclusion without it feeling contrived

or preachy. I think Fata Morgana's pretty similar to Umineko in how they handle the perception of truth, but it manages to be its own distinct story with how it handles Morgana's character arc.

The few slice of life scenes, not the tragic or emotional ones, in Door 5 had me at

the verge of tears. Part of it was the beautiful soundtrack that played in the background, and part of it was because the story had gotten me so invested in Michel and Giselle's relationship that I genuinely wanted them to be happy even though their story would eventually end in

tragedy.

To be honest, the soundtrack massively contributed to how emotionally impacted I was. In retrospect, there are a few scenes that are quite normal in terms of dialogue that had me crying just because of the soundtrack. In comparison, I had shivers running down my spine

for every single scene in Arc 4. Michel could never do it like Subaru does fr fr.😎

There are a few flaws that I could pick at if I really wanted to, but they don't really affect the overall experience for me.

9.5/10, very good, would recommend to my friends if they would actually put in the effort to read my recommendations.
