Naftali Bennett starts his swearing in speech and presents his government's platform
Several radical rights wing members of Knesset raised posters against Bennett at the beginning of his speech and were taken out of the Knesset plenary hall
Several members of Knesset from Likud shout liar and fraud at Bennett and don’t allow him to start his speech
At the top of his speech Bennett thanks Netanyahu for his service. Shouting from Likud members continue. Bennett says Netanyahu and his wife Sarah have given personal sacrifices for serving the country
Outgoing Likud ministers continue disrupting Bennet’s speech. Bennett says the disruptions are legitimate and he is ready to listen to criticism
The Knesset session turns into a shouting match between the outgoing coalition and the incoming coalition. This is really something
Bennet: Jews are people with opinions as we can see right now. But there are points in time that the differences are out of control and threaten everything we have built
Bennett: I am proud that I can sit in the same government with people with very different opinions. At a critical moment we took responsibility. To continue to a 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th elections – this is how a country is destroyed. We stopped this train on the brink of the abyss
Speaker of Knesset Yariv Levin is ordering more and more members of Knesset to leave the Knesset plenary hall
Bennett: We will open a new chapter between the state and its Arab citizens. I give the credit to Prime Minister Netanyahu who paved the way for this in his series of meetings with Mansour Abbas
Bennett says in his speech the Iranian nuclear program which “is close to a decision point” will be a main challenge for the new government
Bennett in swearing in speech: The Middel East still hasn’t recovered from the 2015 nuclear deal that gave Iran a lot of money
Bennett: Returning to the nuclear deal will be a mistake and will once again give legitimacy to the Iranian regime. Israel will not allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon. Israel is not a party to the deal will continue to defend itself
Bennett: I thank President Biden for his support and commitment for the security of Israel. My government will make an effort to deepen the relationship with both Democrats and Republicans. If there will be differences we will manage them out of mutual trust and respect
Bennett says on the Palestinian issue that he supports economic steps that will decrease tension and friction
Yair Lapid gave up on his speech and told the members of Knesset he decided to do it because of the interruptions during Bennett's speech which he called a disgrace
Netanyahu in his speech at the swearing in session of the new government: The U.S. is going to return to the dangerous nuclear deal that I firmly oppose. Bennett will fight Iran like he said he will never join a government with Yair Lapid
BREAKING: Netanyahu: The Biden administration asked me not to make our disagreements on the Iran nuclear deal public. With all due respect to President Biden – I refused to do it
Netanyahu: In 1944 the president of the U.S. refused to bomb Auschwitz. He could have saved millions of our people. This is why I will not be silent on the Iran nuclear deal
Netanyahu: I told Secretary of Defense Austin that as Prime Minister I will do everything to oppose a deal that will lead to Iran having a nuclear weapon and I will do it both publicly and operationally
Netanyahu: I told SecDef Austin that even though I hope it will not get to this but if I have to choose between friction with the U.S. and eliminating the Iranian threat I would choose the latter
Netanyahu: Bennett doesn’t have the international standing, the credibility or the knowledge that will allow him to oppose the Iran nuclear deal
Netanyahu: The PM of Israel must be able to say no to the President of the U.S. and back it by massive campaign in Congress and in U.S. public opinion. I did it in 2015 - Who will do it now? Lapid who attacked my speech Congress? They can’t and won’t stand up to the U.S.
Netanyahu: From the moment the Biden administration returns to the Iran deal the incoming government won’t approve actions in Iran to stop it from getting nuclear weapons. All they are going to do is to say something for the protocol
Netanyahu: The Iranians are celebrating today – they know that if not for our efforts they would have had an arsenal of nuclear bombs long ago. They know that the new Israeli government will be weak and align itself with the international community
Netanyahu: My message to those who are celebrating in Tehran is – we will be back soon
Netanyahu: The Biden administration already demands Israel to freeze building in the settlements and in Jerusalem. I rejected this demand. I told the U.S. I am against reopening the consulate in Jerusalem. The incoming government won’t say it and won’t stand against it

1 \ France is pushing forward with an effort to pass a security council resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, a French source told me. The French plan to bring it to a vote if a ceasefire in Gaza isn’t reached in the coming days
2 \ The French move surprised the U.S. and presents a challenge to the Biden administration which tries to avoid steps by the security council on the issue. The French could use the draft resolution to get the U.S. to apply more pressure on Israel to stop its military operation
3 \ France to circulate the draft resolution on Gaza on Tuesday to members of the UN security council. The move was coordinated with Egypt & Jordan & was a result of a summit between president Macron with Egyptian president Sissi and Abdullah the king of Jordan earlier on Tuesday
