In celebration of @bts_bighit turning 8, here's a thread recounting 8 times BTS took inspiration from literature for their music! 💕
Starting strong with Spring Day! Now how many of you knew it was inspired by Omelas? 🤔🤔
Another Big Hit (pun intended) Butterfly was inspired by Haruki Murakami!! 🙌
Here's another Murakami inspiration which gave us the song "Sea" 🥰🥰
To all the Jimin fans out here, did you know he was inspired by this French Novella? 🥺🥺
Oooh how many of you know that Murray Stein went on to dedicate a book to the band!? ✨✨
Magic Shop was also inspired!!! Okay, real question - how many of you are going to go back and read these stories?? 🤔🤔
Yes even comics inspired them! What if Indian Bands were to be inspired by Tinkle Comics? RT and let us know! I'd love to see a Suppandi rendition tbh 💜😂
Now this is a story and song all of us are familiar with! 💜💕
💫 Guys here's hoping they come to India!! RT in support!! 💫

June 15th will mark 20 years since the release of an iconic film - Lagaan.

A thread highlighting some interesting stories about a very very special movie. #20YearsOfLagaan Image
Lagaan was @AshGowariker’s third foray into direction after his earlier two movies – Pehla Nasha and Baazi.

Baazi is famous for the “Item number” by Aamir Khan.

Pehla Nasha had Aamir and SRK in the same movie with some cringe worthy puns - Image
After the box office failures of Baazi, @AshGowariker’s confidence in his own ability to direct a film had fallen.

His first 2 films were what was considered “safe” but backfired, so he wanted to do a completely different film. ImageImage

There has been talk of reunions for TV series from the 90's.

This TV series is now discontinued, but the nightingale of Bollywood wants a reunion.

A thread about the origin of the TV Series CID. ImageImage
The man behind the TV series is BP Singh who had a successful Marathi series called Ek Shunya Shunya on DD.

See if you can spot some familiar faces from that show?

While working on that series, he met a doctor who told him - "People lie, but the dead always tell the truth." ImageImage
That got him interested in cases where forensics were involved. He did all the research and spent more than 4.5 lacs of his personal money and shot 6 episodes of CID in 1992.

The first of these was called Kissa Zahar Ka. Image
