1. I’ve always been opportunistic. In the past, I’ve known opportunities were there, but I hesitated. I second guessed it. I didn’t give it enough time to succeed. I was lazy.
I learned from that & I wasn’t going to let it happen again if another opportunity presented itself.
2. I dove head first into reselling. It was the perfect recipe. I could learn the ropes with minimal investment or risk. I got paid to shop.
Fortunately, success came quickly. Country shutdown = $$$
From there, I reinvested all of my proceeds back into inventory.
3. I joined various groups on discord for leads & assistance. For a small monthly fee, I was spoon fed profitable leads. I was pinged when items were in stock. I was able to get my questions answered. Most times instantly. I was inspired by others.
Invest in your business.
4. I worked my ass off acquiring inventory. I honed in on my buying parameters, made connections at stores, & I leveraged the internet. Thanks, Brickseek.
Of course, I made a lot of mistakes along the way. It’s part of it. I learned from them & got better. Constant refinement.
5. I figured out how to scale. I hired my friends. It was simple ROI calculations. Collectively, we dominate retail arbitrage in my area. Most times, they pay for their weekly wages in just 1 day.
They source with my credit cards and the cash rewards go brr.
6. I reinvested every dollar until I did taxes & accountant made me take a distribution. I know that’s not possible for everyone, but your $ is more valuable going back into your business than it is eating steak dinners.
If you’re doing it right, more buying power = more profit.
7. I took my Amazon metrics insanely serious. Although I did mainly FBM, I can count on 1 hand how many times I had a late shipment.
I’ve never canceled an order on a buyer. I’ve replied to every single message under the SLA timeframe.
I provide over the top customer service.
8. I’ve made friends with people from my discord groups, Twitter, my delivery people, my Amazon reps, store associates, other local resellers, & more.
It’s led to lots of opportunities & it was simple. Just be nice. You never know what someone can/will do for you.
Much respect.
9. That’s a very high level summary of what the past year was like.
It wasn’t easy. I’ve dealt with the bs returns, black hat tactics from competitors on Amazon, threatening emails from Amazon themselves.
There’s nothing you can’t overcome.
10. I hope you’ve all enjoyed the journey. As a thank you to my followers, I want to give back.
Ask me anything for the next 24 hours and I’ll answer them all.
