Joyboy and the Prophecy: Analysis / Thread:
The first time we hear the name, 'Joyboy' is when Robin found the Poneglyph in Fishman Island.

She comments that it seems like an apology letter. She wonders who this Joyboy could be apologising to.

Neptune later explains that that passage is addressed to the mermaid princess.
Through this conversation with Neptune, Robin asks if the hidden name of the mermaid princess might be Poseidon. Remembering the poneglyph in Skypiea indicated that Poseidon would be found on Fishman Island.
It's later explained that once every 100 years, the God Poseidon is reincarnated as the mermaid princess.

Neptune comments to Roger about the prophecy.

It's said that the royal line has been charged with protecting the Noah until the promised time would come.
The next time we hear about this is once again when we see this same conversation between Neptune and Roger.

Roger asks Shiryl when Poseidon will be born. She responds that it will happen in 10 years.

The 'Day of Disaster' will come in 10 years, when the princess is born.
When Luffy defeated Hody and had to try and stop it from falling on FMI. Shirahoshi accidentally awakened her power and called the Sea Kings.

The comment on their surprise at Luffy hearing their voice and remark about how it reminded them of Roger and Oden.
It's hear that we learn that Poseidon has the power to control the Sea Kings. Their duty is to answer to her call.

At the promised time, they are tasked with carrying Noah to the surface.
Interestingly, in this scene. The Sea Kings comment about how damaged the Noah is and they wonder if it can be fixed.

They comment that the only ones capable of this would be 'that clan'. But times have changed.

Which clan?
There is one clan we know that are renowned for their skill in craftmanship. The Kozuki!

Interestingly. There's another connection there.

Both Fishman Island and Wano want to open their borders when the promised time comes.
This promised time seems to connect to the prophecy foretold by the Sea Kings. That one day, the two sovereign will meet.
There is perhaps another clan that could be indicated by this line.

We learned in Water 7 and Enies Lobby that for generations, a line of shipwrights have been charged with a certain task.

Protecting the blueprints of Pluton!
We know that Franky burned the blueprints to protect this secret but isn't that a coincidence? A ship that needs fixing and a clan of shipwrights dedicated for generations to protecting some blueprints for a ship🤔

And it's interesting that Franky's master, Tom. Was a Fishman.
Staying on the subject of Pluton for now. We learned before that Pluton is said to be hidden underneath Alabasta.

Robin lied to Crocodile about the location of Pluton.
This brings us to an interesting possible connection. Thanks to @PieceIdea for pointing this out.

Look at the side by side comparison between the layout of Alabasta and the lay out of Water 7
One of the prominent themes in Alabasta was that it never rain and water was hard to come by. You had to dig for it.

In Gedatsu's cover page, he falls from Skypiea and lands on Ukkari, an island neighbouring Alabasta.

He starts digging a hot spring.
In this cover story, we see that there's even a tunnel between Ukkari and Alabasta.

But the main take away from this. Is that perhaps Alabasta used to not be a dessert at all.

Look at the map of the two places.

Perhaps they were once one.
It's also worth noting that Alabasta and Water 7, both with their similar lay outs. Sit either side of Skypiea. Which is where Robin first learned about Poseidon.

This may be relevant to the prophecy.
Another interesting piece of geography to consider is the idea that Pluton is buried beneath Alabasta.

If you go to the exact other side of the world. 'Beneath Alabasta', this is where you'll find Zunisha!
We learn at Zou that Zunisha has lived for 1,000 years (before the Void). He has been sentenced to walk the earth for eternity for committing some unknown crime.
Interestingly, some inspiration for this may be taken from the myth of the Wandering Jew. A story of a man being cursed to walk the Earth until the 2nd coming of Jesus. Punishment for mocking Jesus on the way to his crucifixion.
Perhaps there is a clue to the crime that Zunisha committed in that story but perhaps also there's a clue right under our noses.

This may connect to why Joyboy was not able to fulfil his promise.

The next thing we see Zunisha do, is destroy a ship.

Did Zunisha destroy Noah?
Interestingly, two of the Ancient Weapons have been well established here but there's no even a whisper about Uranus. (hahaa)

This brings us back to a popular theory, regarding Momo.
Momo is not only able to hear Zunisha's voice but he's even able to converse with it. A power we've only seen an equivalent of from Shirasoshi when she spoke with the Sea Kings.

This is perhaps the biggest indicator that Momo is the Ancient Weapon, Uranus!
It's hard to go any further on these details without this becoming more of a theory than an analysis but the implications are there that Momo may be the last Ancient Weapon.

Perhaps, this is why Wano have kept their borders closed, just like Fishman Island.

Ancient Weapons!
Going back a bit, something interesting to consider, is what happens if Zunisha comes to Alabasta?

Could this be how Pluton is revealed?
Before we draw conclusions. Let's go back to the actual prophecy.

The Sea Kings tell us that in 10 years Poseidon will be born and another in a distant sea. We can assume this means another ancient weapon.

They say, "The Whales are delighted in anticipation."

Now look at this
You've probably noticed by now, all this has almost nothing to do with Joyboy himself, this prophecy is all about the Ancient Weapons! So where does Joyboy come into it?

Roger only learned the truth when he reached Laugh Tale.

They were too early
To understand this, we have to look back at the prophecy, specifically this point. 'Another in a distant sea.'

The hard part to decipher is whether or not the 10 years applies to both or just to Poseidon.
Roger believed that these voices were speaking the truth and that one day someone would be born who would do what he was too early to do. He believed it would be his son. (He didn't have one yet)

This would suggest that the 10 years does not apply to both.
If the 10 years does not apply to identifying Joyboy then our best bet to identifying him is by analysing the nature of the prophecy and attempting to understand who that could imply.
So far we've established 3 main things about the prophecy.

1. Poseidon will be born
2. FMI and Wano must open their borders
3. The Two Sovereign will meet
Most likely, the reason for all of these things is that the 'two sovereign' are none other than Shirahoshi and Momo. We know one of them is Poseidon and it's highly likely the other is Uranus.

This may explain why Yamato stated that Momo would be the one to bring the dawn.
This brings us back to the last Ancient Weapon, Pluton and why the Sea Kings were tasked with carrying Noah to the surface.

It's possible that Noah is the original Pluton!
It's been a popular theory for a while now that there will be more than one Pluton in the end.

So what if the one in Alabasta is found but also the Noah is fixed by a member of 'that clan' and becomes Pluton once again?
We established before that 'that clan' may be either the clans of Wano or the Shipwrights of Water 7. I would argue that it's both.

Remember that Franky's lineage is unknown. Now this is more of a theory but it may be the missing link here.

If this is true, then it's possible that Franky will be the one to fix the Noah and that this will tie back to the plot thread of the Pluton blueprints.
Now we have the connection to all 3 Ancient Weapons! It becomes clear that the 'Day of Disaster' that is foretold will come when these Ancient Weapons are assembled.
Perhaps the biggest clue we have to the identity of Joyboy from this, is the nature of the prophecy regarding the borders of the world.

'Joyboy' is the man who will make the world borderless.

This lines up perfectly with the notion of freedom.
When we consider the idea of borders, one thing in particular stands out that acts as a border to the world. The Red Line.
If we consider the prophecy to mean the destruction of the Red Line then that would explain why Shiryl had a vision of Luffy destroying Fishman Island.

Fishman Island sits beneath the Red Line.

And Mariejois sits on top 👀
If the destruction of the Red Line means the destruction of Fishman Island. Then suddenly Joyboy's apology to the mermaid princess makes more sense and the reason the Fishmen want to go to the surface makes more sense.
In Wano and in Zou, they believe that this event will bring the 'Dawn of the World'. A totally new age.
To conclude. The prophecy tells of the 'Day of Disaster'. This is the day that all 3 of the Ancient Weapons will come together and the 'two sovereign' (Momo & Shirahoshi) will meet.

These weapons will destroy the Red Line. Making the world borderless.
Joyboy is not a name but a title. A title given to the one who will find the One Piece and fulfil the original Joyboy's promise. He who makes the world borderless will become the freest man. The Pirate King!
Kaido is probably wrong

But we'll save Kaido analysis for another day!

This was longer than I intended but I hope everyone enjoyed it

Thanks for reading 🙏

The Will of D. Analysis / Thread: Image
The first time we hear mention of the Will of D. Is in Drum Island. Kureha talks to Dolton about Roger's real name. Gol D. Roger.

"So the Will of D. Still lives?" ImageImageImageImage
The next time we hear about 'D.' It's from Robin. After Luffy's initial defeat by Crocodile, she pulls him in the sand and asks him. Why do those with D in their name always fight?

Luffy is quite oblivious as to what the hell she's talking about

Robin is very fascinated ImageImageImageImage
