Falmouth East - 600 per 100,000 (+2,000%)

Kim Conchie, CEO of the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce: "If the Government wants to save the staycation . . . it should look at providing extra doses in places like Cornwall to ensure the hospitality sector isn’t being forced to close due to staff shortages."
@cornwallchamber
Munira Wilson MP, the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for health, said: “This surge in cases in Carbis Bay and St Ives must be met with a surge in vaccinations and testing throughout the area."
@munirawilson @LibDems
Bernard Deacon, a Redruth resident, said: “The council needs to employ some map readers. Haven’t they seen the figures? Why is it that St Ives has had this huge rise and Penzance, just eight miles away hasn’t? If it’s not G7 then what is it?
@bernarddeacon
1/1 It may have been forgotten that while St Ives is a wealthy area, attracting wealthy tourists, Cornwall is not a wealthy county and has high levels of deprivation. People in deprived areas are twice as likely to die from Covid. cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-…
2/2 "Nearly 20 neighbourhoods in Cornwall are currently among the 10% most deprived in England" . . . and many surround areas where G7 took place.
