Act 1: Intrepid reporter Jen Fifield with AZ Republic signed up as a volunteer observer at #AZAudit. Jen got the morning shift, on Day 1 during training. No real ballots were on the floor during her shift.

Thatโs where the fun begins. Since April 23rd, the โBLUE PENSโ talking point has been flogged endlessly by Maddow and every other pundit/yapper who is against the Audit. Do they tell you it was corrected day one prior to ballots being on the floor? No? Why? Finis.
Also: Blue pens should not have been on the floor, Jen is correct. However watching the actual count procedure shows none of the 3 counters with pens ever touch a ballot as it turns on the "lazy susan". They only mark tally forms, and it's all videoed overhead.
