The correct lesson from Afghanistan instantly reverting back to Taliban control the second the western occupation ends is not that the occupation needs to continue, it's that it should never have happened in the first place.
The claim that Afghanistan reverting to Taliban control will be a disaster for human rights is built on the fallacious premise that the occupation has been a boon for human rights. It has not.

The claim that Afghanistan reverting to Taliban control will be a disaster for human rights is also built on the premise that the US needs to invade and occupy every nation with illiberal cultural values and force them to change. This occupation has proved that an impossibility.
In conclusion, no one believes the western empire should invade all illiberal countries and force them to change at gunpoint, and even if they did we've established that that's impossible. But watch all the MSM pieces claiming the occupation must continue to rescue human rights.

So much of what the CIA used to do covertly it now just does overtly; NED, working in media punditry, etc. Pretty soon they'll just be openly selling narcotics door to door like Girl Scout cookies.

How fucking obnoxious is it that westerners are now wringing their hands over the fact that when they stop forcing Afghanistan to be a certain way at gunpoint, the fate of Afghanistan starts being determined by Afghans? Enough with this white man's burden bullshit, fuckin freaks.
Example from the odious Simon Tisdall of the Guardian propaganda firm:

War propagandist Charles Lister is of course on the beat as well:

Transhumanism assumes we've already done the human thing and we've taken it as far as it can go so now it's time to become cyborgs, when hardly anyone is able to sit in their own skin and simply *be*, much less explore the deeper levels of their being. Maybe try humanning first.
Transhumanists are all "Right, did the human thing, now it's time for the next thing." It's like dude, no you didn't. Humanity has barely even been born. You haven't taken the time to explore what's in this room and already you're storming on to the next one. Be here for a sec.
I mean just the fact that spiritual enlightenment is a known, well-documented phenomenon should give us pause here. What's going on with that? What lies down that rabbit hole? You're just going to walk right past it and start knitting your neurons to machinery and stuff?

The left is not failing, it is being actively sabotaged. It is being sabotaged with psyops in our own society by the same power structure which sabotages the left in foreign nations around the world. COINTELPRO-like tactics with 100% certainty continue today, especially online.
It seems like leftists are way too hard on each other about the difficulties they have in getting the revolution off the ground, and they shouldn't because it's not really their fault. The whole movement's been hammered with mass-scale psyops for generations, and continues to be.
And it does no good to get paranoid about this and try to figure out who is and isn't an infiltrator; the temptation to do that is itself part of the psyop, because it causes division and enmity. All we can do is keep chugging along doing our best, inwardly and outwardly.

The 1/6 narrative has been chock full of plot holes, blatant falsehoods and virulent spin since day one, and now it's being used to roll out "domestic terror" policies designed to target anyone who opposes the US status quo. The American left should be very concerned about this.
The White House mentions leftists EXPLICITLY, not implicitly.

“Billionaire ownership of major news outlets is but another tool the billionaire class deploys for the purpose of wealth defense. It gives them the power to set the terms of the agenda and influence public opinion in their favor,” Ocampo told MintPress.
It's not that the billionaires who own the media actively lean over journalists' shoulders telling them what to write (though it often seems that way), it's that they control who runs the media corporations—and therefore who gets hired and promoted—from the top down.
"The Washington Post is among the most powerful, influential, and widely-read media outlets in the United States. Its position as the dominant newspaper in the nation’s capital reinforces its place as a thought-leading, agenda-setting publication."
