This is a remarkable story. Miami Dade may not be the only Florida county in which the GOP planted a fake candidate to siphon off votes from a Democratic candidate for state legislature. It happened in Seminole county too. But the local prosecutor there won’t investigate. 😳 1/
Fortunately, @Scott_Maxwell and @orlandosentinel are on the case. I recommend following Maxwell and whatever he and others uncover in Seminole county. 2/
Seminole county is the county where the infamous Joel Greenberg (of Matt Gaetz infamy) is from. It appears the rot there may run deep and wide. 3/
6/ More about DeMint’s “challenger” Alvin Green. cc: @JimSoper
7/ And let us not forget that Joel Greenberg (R) stalked and defamed his primary challenger Brian Beute (R) in the tax assessor’s race in Seminole county, Florida. Beute alleges that DeSantis was complicit in covering up Greenberg’s crimes against him.
Good Gawd. Seminole County Election Supervisor Chris Anderson flew with Joel Greenberg to Miami for a meeting w/ Matt Gaetz in 2017. That same weekend, Gaetz, Greenberg, and Roger Stone dined together. But it is unclear if Anderson attended the dinner. 14/ orlandosentinel.com/politics/os-pr…
Jason Brodeur is the Republican who may have won due to a fake candidate who siphoned votes from the Democrat. Nice to see Seminole County election supervisor Chris Anderson was palling around with him. 😳15/
22/ Ertel. DeSantis made this guy Secretary of State, Florida’s top election official. (Ertel resigned after 5 days due to the black face scandal.) Unbelievable. 😳
23/ Here are screenshots from a memo I created to help keep track of the sham candidates in Florida. I need to add Seminole County. Based on Eric’s thread, it looks like there may be one more as well.
24/ I don’t think this is 2020. Will check in a bit. At soccer game.

This cautionary post is newly relevant in that some of Trump’s Tech Bros ditched Biden/Harris over plans to regulate AI. Significantly, Trump has named Jacob Helberg—an advisor to Palantir’s CEO— as his Undersecretary of State for economic growth, energy, & the environment. 1/
3/ “Helberg has already started drafting an executive order for a future Trump administration that would strip away … Biden’s AI regulations (limited as they may be).”
