EXCLUSIVE: A veteran Tesla worker has come forward to detail extraordinarily dangerous conditions at @ElonMusk's auto factory.

"It was like a modern-day industrial sweatshop," said Dennis Duran, who worked at Tesla’s Bay Area plant for 5 years.
Duran’s Tesla stories are harrowing:

"Someone got their leg run over. People were sent home for exhaustion. They were throwing up at random because they didn't have enough water.”

"Management never really cared. All they care about is hitting numbers and pleasing @ElonMusk."
For years, Tesla had injury rates far higher than other carmakers.

In 2019, Tesla claimed its rate dropped. But a damning report later found Tesla under-reported worker injuries that year.

The culture of fear and disregard for worker health at Tesla comes from the very top.

Last year, @ElonMusk re-opened the factory at the height of the pandemic, defying county orders.

At least 400 workers wound up with COVID. Musk’s net worth jumped $140 billion.

NLRB documents reveal aggressive, flagrantly illegal union-busting by Tesla under @ElonMusk.

Tesla autoworkers are fired, interrogated, photographed, verbally harassed by security—all in violation of federal law, the NLRB found.

Richard Ortiz tried to organize his coworkers at Tesla's CA factory. In response, Tesla "coercively interrogated" him three times, then fired him illegally, federal investigators say.

Fast food workers kept many people fed throughout the pandemic. But they face low wages and unsafe conditions.

Meanwhile, McDonald’s and other highly profitable fast food corporations dole out millions in pay to CEOs.

- Voters support the #ForThePeopleAct by a 32-point margin
- Voters support the #PROAct by a 16-point margin
- Support for these bills *increase* as voters learn more about the policy specifics

The PRO Act would overhaul existing labor law and expand workers’ rights to form a union, so that more workers could collectively bargain for better wages and working conditions.

After hearing a brief summary of the bill, likely voters supported it 53% to 37%.
We then asked likely voters about 13 labor reforms included in the PRO Act. Pluralities supported 12 of the 13.

By a ~40-point margin, voters backed provisions to reinstate illegally fired workers, block immigration status discrimination, & prevent worker misclassification.
