Clip filmed by an eyewitness, listen to what he says at the end. The witness saw the whole encounter. “Section 1” “Stop & Search” & “Obstruction” were only mentioned as they forcefully restrained my cousin without clearly explaining why they were stopping or detaining him prior.
At no point was Levi cycling on the pavement or obstructing the officers. As officers of the law they MUST... STATE who they are, provide their ID number and what station they are from. CLEARLY explain why they are wanting to conduct a search and what they are looking for...
The search MUST be based on reasonable grounds, facts/evidence & intelligence. The officers must REFER to the relevant legislation to justify a search as explained here: *Section 1 of The Police & Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE) *Section 23 of The Misuse of Drugs Act 1971...
* Section 60 Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (which doesn’t need to be based on ANY reasonable grounds) and normally last for 24 hours in anticipation of serious violence in a particular area. None of these were CLEARLY articulated to Levi by the officers at any point
So for those stating that my cousin must have done something wrong, or had an attitude, or that the footage had been edited to show this to something it wasn’t. You need to ask yourself why you believe that an officer of the law can’t act unlawfully & why officers can’t be wrong
We have some officers enforcing the law that do not understand the law & use the legislation in place to try & right their wrongs. Sometimes it’s because of this lack of knowledge, but others disregard their oath of office. We must challenge these officers making them accountable
Challenge yourself to think outside the box and challenge oppression at all levels of society. This is about morals, right and wrong... nothing more, nothing less. No one should experience this treatment, let alone citizens of this country that work hard and abide by the law.

Levi was coming to the end of his 12 hour shift when he was aggressively approached by officers as he set off from Morley’s to deliver his orders, detained without a specific reason and intimidated repeatedly. This happened on Deptford High Street on Saturday 19th June 2021
He was taken to Lewisham Police Station without justification, kept overnight with no phone call to let his Mum or any other family know of his whereabouts and kept in a cell for over 16 hours, during which time he had to routinely beg for water...
Which was only granted after several hours of being in the cell. He was accused of assaulting a police officer (as you can see in the video) but released with no further action and no explanation as to why he was detained and arrested.
I want to see a mugshot of @metpoliceuk officer Wayne Couzens who killed an innocent woman, abused his position as a public servant & failed to uphold his oath. I want to see pictures of this killer in his police uniform & not smiling in pictures like he’s committed a petty crime
This is where you see the blatant agenda & the classic humanisation of white criminals by the establishment & media. For every young black male that has broken the law, been murdered like my mentee Rhyhiem Barton or just a suspect, we get mugshots & pictures that portray evil
I don’t want to hear stories or excuses of mental breakdowns, injuries sustained in custody, loneliness or anything else for this so called officer @MailOnline@SkyNews@BBCNews@Telegraph@Independent where’s your outrage? Where’s the demonisation of this awful human being?
The community must Police the Police, it’s us that must force them to be accountable.
“The police are the public & the public are the police”
It’s clear that Cressida Dick is part of the problem, a true lack of leadership, constant denial of institutional racism & an enabler
But it’s not just her, there are officers within the Police that have this very same view around institutional racism, casual misconduct without fear of consequence. They’ve been enabled & protected by their Commissioner to have these views whilst serving in the force.
I truly feel for the good officers of the @metpoliceuk because there are a lot of good people carrying out their duties for the correct & moral reasons. It’s embarrassing & disgusting that a serving officer is under investigation for murder. A full revamp of Police is needed.
So this happened to me last week and I debated at length whether or not I share this widely. I spoke with my family extensively, watched the video over and over again and mulled it over for seven days...
What I realised is that I have an obligation as a postive, upstanding black man in my community, to share this and highlight the constant mistreatment, lack of respect and oppression we face at the hands of the @metpoliceuk on a daily basis
Last Monday I was delivering food to friends that have lost loved ones to COVID-19 as a gesture of love and support. On my way to my second drop off I saw two males one black & one white had been stopped by a number of police & being searched, I stopped my car instead of...
