So here’s what we know and what we DON’T know about the NASCAR Car Chief speculated to be conducting acts of being a child predator a thread: first, the alleged is indeed a Car Chief named Micah Horton. A Micah Horton worked for Kaulig previously but is a member of Gibbs in 2021

Second: the posted photo dump of sexually explicit texts and pics was an engagement with a civilian “pedo Hunter” organization. It’s believed that in this case no minors are involved, but the subject would be believed to be engaging with a minor…

Third: the information given by the account alleged to be Micah Horton is believed to be accurate to the hotel used and potentially location specific to where the accused was lodging.

Fourth: according to the organization that attempts to expose predators, there is no legal recourse apparently in PA you have to actually be engaging with a minor or get “caught” by the actual police.

Fifth: the accused’s family is claiming that their phone was hacked, not him etc etc. I’ve not seen these statements but that sounds pretty standard.

Sixth: I’ve heard unconfirmed sources (wish I could say for sure but it’ll come out soon enough) that the accused has been fired by Gibbs. Again, don’t expect any legal action on this PARTICULAR issue, but it appears action from the employer was swift.

Here’s a post on Facebook apparently from the accused’s wife that may confirm the thought that it was a “hack.” This was posted by @jfixswim but the FB post may have since been deleted or made private.

From NASCAR’s penalty report via Jayski, Micah Horton has been indefinitely suspended by NASCAR for behavioral violations (last one on list). Would imagine this to be the end of the matter for now.
