Newsom claims he has asked SOS Weber to fix the mistake earlier this month, but was denied. Now he's asking a state judge to overule Weber, who he appointed just months ago.
Weber's office in response to the filing- “The Secretary of State's office has a ministerial duty to accept timely filed documents. Acceptance of filings beyond a deadline requires judicial resolution.”
