This month of June has been a very productive month in Nigeria's war against insurgency. But there is a stubborn dynamics at play here.

This is France 24 claiming Boko Haram controls large territories in Borno and Adamawa state. Incredible.
The great exploits of the military and loss suffered by ISWAP is barely reported in the western media, the French media who are consistently giving a false narrative of a Nigeria under Boko Haram occupation. Boko Haram no longer exist as a viable entity much less control Borno.
But there is a reason why France 24 continues peddling this false narrative. It's over for France in West Africa. Heck, the Senegalase army chief was in Abuja today to foster closer military ties with Nigeria. They are watching with horror a Francophone Spring in West Africa.
The biggest beneficiary of FREXIT is regional power Nigeria. How does Paris react? Scorched Earth. We witness coup plots on an unprecedented scale. Never in history has the region been wracked by many coup plots designed to ignite socio-political instability.
It backfires horribly for Paris. Instead of chaos, it scares francophone head of states and fosters their desire for closer ties economic and defense ties with Nigeria.
What next? Plan C. MASKIROVSKA. Militant groups in West Africa, stretching from Nigeria to Senegal all decide to stage attacks simultaneously. They also begin receiving massive stockpiles of arms. These are military grade weapons enough to equip several army battalions.
In May 2021 a French national was caught with huge caches of weapons he was planning to deliver to rebels in the C.A.R.
Further investigation revealed that the 55 year old Juan Remy Quignolot was a retired French army officer.
There is no way an ex French army officer will be racketeering arms in Africa without the knowledge of PARIS. Yet the global discourse on terrorism in Africa is blamed on stateless forces, overlooking the complicity of corporate capital and foreign governments.
The United Nations Security Council is AWARE and say nothing on the proliferation and “illicit flows” of arms among state actors into Africa.

Take Libya for example. They somehow convince Gadaffi to give up his chemical weapons program.

Welcome to the Free World
They sell billions of dollars worth of weapons to the Gadaffi regime. The very same countries attack the Gadaffi regime to liberate Libya. Libya collapses. The liberated weapons fall into the hands of stateless recipients,..that's terrorist groups. The terrorists use these
weapons in their home states to destabilize the region. With the region on fire, they come in with fire trucks to help douse the flames...and set up shop in the event there is another fire..and on it goes. An Endless self perpetuating war. Perpetual profit. GEO POLITICS.
Now Nigeria is making progress. ISWAP is taking a beating. Western media are not reporting on the successes. Instead they continue peddling a stereotypical false narrative. And they get hungry Nigerian reporters to do the reporting to give it an air of legitimacy.
Why? A stable and prosperous West Africa will be the END OF French influence in Africa. Weak Africa is the only place where France is seen as a World power. It's the only region in the world France has a modicum of influence.

We've touched on this several times. Nigeria's rapidly expanding rail networks spanning the length and breadth of Nigeria could be of immense strategic military value for the rapid movement of forces.
Ten years ago Nigeria had not a a single functioning rail system. In a span of just 8 years Nigeria has built the largest "light rail" network in Africa.
Road networks can be immensely terrible, especially during rainy season. Heavy duty transporters the military relies on to move equipments only adds to be problem. Not to mention traffic jams.

DICON CET Mine Trawl (Roller).
Engineers at the Nigerian Army Command Engineering Depot attached rollers with projective steel grinders to armoured vehicles. ImageImageImageImage
These grinders allow a higher ground pressure and therefore ensures the explosion of pressure activated devices such as IEDs. ImageImageImageImage

Why Nigerian troops love MRAPS.

In 2018 a Nigerian army patrol team comprising three 14-ton Bigfoot MRAPS were conducting a mounted patrol in Borno. The scout platoon crept slowly because the route had become known as a death trap when ever there are sand storms. ImageImageImageImage
These sand storms are a nasty and unpleasant extremely. Troops dread sandstorm more than insurgents. With Boko Haram at least they can defend themselves. In sand storms they are completely helpless. It cuts visibility down to a few yards.
You cannot step out of the vehicle. 5 mph is a safe driving speed in these conditions. Its an unnerving experience driving at 5mph in roads that is potentially strewn with improvised devices (IEDs) yet you cannot see what's in front of you. ImageImageImageImage

I try avoiding this topic of photo imagery and illustrations because it's so basic, so simple that I erroneously hoped that with time people will get it. Obviously that's never going to happen. Image
Today, people have an attention span of fewer than nine seconds, or less than a goldfish. Images are more important than ever, especially on social media. A large part of the brain is focused on visual processing, allowing humans to process images at an incredible speed.
Photo imagery and background music is used in the mediasphere today because our brains respond so quickly to images and color in comparison to other types of information. It's common sense the use of feature imagery is for illustrative purposes. It's not my responsibility to

A French based NGO busted by security operatives training sharp shooters in a hotel in Borno.
Ive said it before and have written countless threads on the external dimension of the insurgency. Each time the Nigerian army begin making gains Amnesty International and other NGOs swoop into action.
In 2019 a Paris Based NGO - Action Against Hunger was caught in the forest giving food and medicine to Boko Haram fighters. They were given 48 hours to leave the country. The military has been making gains in recent weeks and it was only a matter of time before they strike.

The Nigerian army should consider aquiring the Turkish made Korkut 35mm short range self propelled anti-aircraft artillery, to replace the Soviet era ZSU Shilker as part of its force modernization program.
The Korkut air defence artillery is designed to engage low flying aircafts, helicopters, drones and missile. Its 35mm automatic cannon can engage ground targets at a range of over 30km. It has an auto electronic station designed to capture targets in all weather conditions.
The turret of the vehicle has an automated ammunition supply system that can switch from high explosive incendiary rounds to tracer rounds in as little as 12 seconds. Its two weapons station can fire up to 1,100 rounds a minute. up to a range of 4km.
