AREA OF CONCENTRATION FOR UNILAG POST UTME CBT TEST FOR 20/201 ACADEMIC SESSION/ ADMISSION CRITERIA:

(A) Mathematics:

Mathematics is expected to be 15 questions of 40 but these are the following topics you need to study so as to do well in. @UnilagNigeria

mathematics as questions come randomly from them.

(1) Number base
(2) Sets
(3) Simple Interest
(4) Indices
(5) Logarithms
(6) Plane Mensuration
(7) Polygon
(8) Equations
(9) Binary Operation
(10) Inequality
(11) Polynomials
(12) Longitude & Latitude
(13) Surds

(14) Sequence & Series
(15) Differentiation & Integration
(16) Trigonometry
(17) Bearing & Distance
(18) Probability
(19) Permutation & Combination

(20) Matrices & Determinant
(21) Coordinate Geometry
(22) Variation
Yes, those are the topics you should study for just 15 mathematics questions.

(B) Use Of English:

Use of English is expected to be 15 questions of 40 but these are the following topics you need to study so as

to do well in Use of English as questions come randomly from them.
(1) Lexis and Structures
(2) Question Tag
(3) Synonyms & Antonyms
(4) Interpretation
(5) Oral English
(6) Stress
(7) Spelling
(8) Phrases
(9) Clauses

(10) Sentences; Types of sentence (Simple, compound, complex, compound complex)

(C) General Paper:

The popular mistake aspirants make is that they narrow general paper to just current affairs which is absolutely wrong. Below are the few aspect you should focus on as General paper are expected to be just 10 questions to make a total of 40.

(1) Current Affairs
(2) About the School
(3) Anything at all

HOW ADMISSION IS PROCESSED IN UNILAG:

UTME/JAMB is 50%

Post JAMB/post UTME is 30%

WAEC/ O’level is 20%

Sum of everything gives 100%.

BREAK DOWN:
For example, if Ojcas Citadel gets 320/400 in JAMB, it’ll be divided by 8.

So .....320/8 = 40/50

Please when you divide your JAMB score, don’t ever approximate it, write the full figure like that even if it’s 40.335_

FOR O’level CALCULATIONS:

A1 = 4 points

B2= 3.6 points

B3= 3.2 points

C4 = 2.8 points

C5= 2.4 points

C6= 2.0 points

Anything less than C6 in one’s O’level isn’t acceptable by UNILAG-

Then the post UTME is 30%

The cut off mark for the post UTME is 12/30 I.e. if one gets less than 12/30 in the post UTME exam, one is out of the game.

The post UTME exam has 40 questions but the total mark for it is 30. That means, whatever you get in the post UTME exam(which has 40 questions) will be converted to 30.

#ASSUMPTION:
Let’s assume OJCa citadel gets to following results;

JAMB SCORE: 320/400 this is 40/50 after dividing by 8

O’level :

Mathematics = A1

English language = B3

Physics= B3

Chemistry = B3

Biology = B2

Civic education = A1

Data processing = A1

Geography = B3

Computer science = A1

Now, looking at the grades in OJCA citadel’ result, FIVE COMPULSORY SUBJECTS WILL BE SELECTED and computated depending on the course he wants to study.

If it’s medicine and surgery, (physics, chemistry, biology, Mathematics and English) will be selected.

So the person must know the compulsory subjects for his course and calculate the O’level aggregate_

Now, looking at Ojca citadel’s result, he has 17.20/20 in his O’level.

Let’s now assume that he gets 25/30 in his post UTME exam.
_Now, let’s add his UTME, post UTME and O’level together_

40+ 17.20+ 25 = 82.20%

82.20% will be OJCA’s total aggregate.

Now, he’ll wait and pray like a wounded lion for the CUT OFF MARK that’ll be released by UNILAG to favour him. If he’s below the CUT OFF MARK, it’s only GOD that’ll intervene.

You can never be over-prepared for the general paper part!
