#DYK nearly 17,500 Student visas were granted to Nigerian Students - a massive 83% increase on the previous year. Here’s some information on how more Students can participate in the Graduate Route ⬇️
📌What is the Graduate Route?
The route offers eligible Students 2-3 years to work, or look for work, in the UK after completing their studies. You need:
- A valid Student Visa
- To complete a course successfully at undergraduate level or above at a Higher Education Institution
📌Do I need a sponsor?
Individuals applying to the Graduate route will not need a sponsor.
Individuals cannot extend the Graduate route but they can switch to other routes whilst inside the UK. Please visit GOV.UK for more info: gov.uk/browse/visas-i…
📌Can I still apply if I can’t get to the UK due to COVID-19 disruptions?
Applicants who began their studies in autumn 2020, or in spring 2021 will need to be in the UK with permission as a Student, by 27 September 2021.
📌 Are Chevening Students eligible for the Graduate Route?
Chevening Students or scholarship holders must check with their scholarship agency as to what they are permitted to do once they have completed their studies.
📌Can I still apply for my visa from a country on the red or amber list?
