This is for our non-Hindu following: How can you be an ally to the Hindu community?
Our thoughts:
Stand up for Hindus βπΎ
Just to clarify the misconceptions slide:
> It is not βidols,β it should be referred to as murtis. Most of the time when people refer to Hindus as idol worshippers, it is to mock/demean Hindus
> The same goes for (2) - Cows are absolutely sacred but itβs the way Hinduphobes..
.. weaponize cows to mock Hinduism, without understanding the significance.
We hope that clears it up ππΎ

We found an extensive amount of misinformation from @tuftssarc and related parties.
We ask that the groups issue an apology to the Hindu community, re-evaluate the resources they share for prejudice and educate themselves on Hinduism, Hindu persecution and Hinduphobia.
They must be held accountable for their harmful statements.
ALERT: On April 10, @csustudents passed a resolution to add caste as a protected category.
Although as Hindus, it is our dharma to stand against caste discrimination, we must oppose groups that call for the total destruction of Hinduism to combat caste discrimination.
EL has:
> Allied with those who have said Hindus are the "sick people" of India
> Falsely tied Hindus to police brutality in U.S.
> Degraded Holi as "casteist" & linked sexual violence to Hindu festivals
> Encouraged students to compare Indian politics to the Holocaust
