A colleague was robbed today on the third mainland bridge.
He was coming to work, and he wanted to beat the day traffic.
His crime?
He left home very early. Around 5 am.
As I typed this, I am imagining the scene he narrated.
He was picked up by a Hilux.
Well, he flagged the SUV.
Entered.
Saw three men. Another person entered after him.
He told the last person he wouldn't want to sit in the middle because he'd like the fresh breeze coming from outside.
The guy got down and they exchanged seats. He sat next to the door.
They moved.
When they got to the 3rd Mainland bridge, they stopped. The driver switched on the hazard light.
The next thing that happened is something you would never wish your enemy.
Remember the auto-lock?
The guy next to him pinned his neck against the door.
The one in the front passenger's seat pointed a 9mm caliber.
The hefty one who seems to be the commander, for he was the one dishing out instructions told him to sit on the floor of the Hilux.
His balls were pinned against the floor.
A resounding slap came in a millisecond across his face.
He was asked to unlock his phone. He gave his password. It did not work.
He tried it the second time. Negative.
"Guy, He threatened, if I try this thing the third time and it gives me 'an incorrect' password prompt, I go throw you inside the lagoon".
Chills went down my spine as he narrated. I felt I was there myself.
He said his heart nearly jumped out of his mouth.
My liver would have followed my heart.
The hefty man tried it a 3rd time,
Success.
"How much do have there?" He gave an estimate. A range.
The guy found it to be true.
Money transferred. Pockets and his bag were ransacked.
"Where is that injection, make we give am?" One quizzed.
"E no need now", the others replied.
Na pastor him be. Make we leave am.
"Wait wait wait. I need his wedding ring"
The hefty one roared.
Wetin you want take am do? One asked.
Can't you see this is real gold? Eru ni mehn.
They tried to remove it. But it was stiff.
Ogbeni, put your hand on this chair.
The guy brought out a shiny sharp UTC, ready to cut his finger.
That was when it dawned on my colleague that these guys were desperate.
He told them he had toilet soap in his bag.
They robbed the soap and used their saliva as a solvent.
The ring was removed.
He has never removed the ring since he was wedded. Over 21 years ago.
Before they pushed him out, they gave him a last gift.
The hefty man took Aboniki and rubbed it in his eyes. He menthol sprayed it too.
He was pushed outside on the bridge and his bag thrown at him.
While he growled from the pain the mentholated Aboniki sent to his brain waves.
Amidst trying to locate the ground like a blind man. His hands and ears now sense organs.
He heard the hefty one said.
"God save you say you get money for your account, I for throw you inside Lagoon".
As he narrated these, chills went down my spine.
To make matters worse, there was a heavy downpour.
No vehicle stopped to pick him.
Until a good Samaritan came along.
He gave him a lift and also some money for transport.
I have read stories about these dastardly acts in books and magazines. I have never come close in contact with victims before.
Today was different.
I heard the story from a victim.
Never been myself since morning.
Men advancing from bad to worse just as the Bible prophesied.
May God continue to protect us all.
May God's kingdom come quickly I pray.

Question: Can you return to prison for the sake of Biafra?

MNK: Yes of course. I am ready anytime any day because the three habitation of a freedom fighter is prison, grave or exile.
When I took this challenge given to me by Elohim, I knew prison was part of the consequences and those who came before me were once there.
If going to prison will set my people free, I am ready.
If living in prison will stop Invaders from raping my mothers and grandmothers in their farms, I will love to live there forever.
If going to prison will stop the killing of my people, I will love to spend the rest of my days on Earth there.

So what if Kanu is arrested?

On Thursday June 24, 2021, I stumbled on a viral video from Zamfara state. In the four minutes clip, a notorious bandits’ kingpin could be seen boastfully confessing in front of senior security officials of the atrocities he committed against...
the Nigerian state and its people. The man, popularly known as Dan-Karami is said to be one of the senior gang members of the deceased Buharin daji, a bandits’ general who controlled the rural areas of Zamfara until his death in 2018 in the hand of one of his other gang members,
Dogo Gide. Dogo Gide had ‘repented’ and submitted himself to the Government of Zamfara state under Abdulazeez Yari and Yari decided to use him to kill his boss.

Empress Agrippina Part 1:

Roman Empress Agrippina was a master strategist. She paid the price for it.
Rome’s hardball politics were off-limits to women, yet this great-granddaughter of Augustus won power for herself and her son, Nero, who would later have her murdered.
Nobody could question Agrippina’s imperial credentials: great granddaughter of Augustus, great-niece of Tiberius (granddaughter of Drusus), sister to Caligula, wife of Claudius, and mother to Nero. Like her male relatives, she enjoyed great influence.
Honored with the title Augusta in A.D. 50, she wielded political power like a man—and paid the price for it.
Agrippina recorded her life in a series of memoirs, in which, according to first-century historian Tacitus, she “handed down to posterity the story of her life and of...

How this enslaved woman inherited the infamous slave jail of Robert Lumpkin, the man who raped her:

History says that in 1867, a Baptist minister named Nathaniel Colver was looking for a space in Richmond for a school he wanted to build to train Black ministers.
He set out into the streets, where he found in the midst of a group of Black people “a large, fair-faced freedwoman, nearly white, who said that she had a place” that could serve as a school, wrote the Rev. Charles H. Corey in his history of the school.
Corey identified the woman as Mary Jane Lumpkin, the widow of Richmond slave dealer Robert Lumpkin. Robert operated a slave jail from the 1830s to 1860s, three blocks from the Virginia state capitol.

Madam Carol Eno Effiong (85yrs): A Case of Justice on its Ugly Head:

Madam Carol Eno Effiong, is a widow and a retired nurse. She packaged her little pension and gratuity and partook in the bid for Festac 77 houses, through the Federal Housing Authority and won.
She was thus allocated a five bedroom detached house in Festac. She moved into that only house, as a retiree, with her only daughter, also named Carol.
Just one day in 1996, Madam Effiong discovered that her documents of title to the house were missing.
She searched for them to no avail, so she reported to the FHA and also placed a Caveat in the Vanguard newspapers. Unknown to Madam Effiong however, her only daughter, Carol, had taken the documents and sold the house, through a forged power of attorney, to her accomplice.
