The Senate Committee on INEC and other electoral matters led by Senator Kabiru Gaya will today conduct the screening of a Presidential Aide and APC member, Lauretta Onochie amongst other nominees for the position of INEC National Commissioner.
Professor Cornelius Ajayi from Ekiti state , at the ongoing screening for the position of INEC National Commissioner, reiterated his non-partisan stand saying, he is never a politician and has never attended any political gathering.

Prof Muhammad Sani received commendations from some of the committee members however, Senator Seriake Dickson reminded the prof that if conformed, a lot will be expected of him and his integrity will be tested.

Senator Dickson also raised the fact that, INEC already has a National Commissioner from Delta state where Lauretta is from. He asked her to justify why she should be confirmed.
