The VW supervisory board decided today that Herbert Diess gets the early contract extension until fall 2025
The previous contract would have ended in 2023 with him not having an opportunity to extend it because of his age

This decision will help VW to stay on course but the still very low BEV share despite good ID.3/4 sales in EU from VW in 2020 and Q1 2021 is worrisome

The Model Y can now be ordered in Germany with a delivery date for September

That can only be the MIC Models Y

I was wrong with my previous prediction Tesla won't for logistic cost and other reason ship MY to Europe

Troys source was correct

Great news!
The September 🇪🇺 delivery date only includes MY LR while the Performance is now pushed to early 2022
Many reasons can play into the decision from Tesla to start delivery with assumed MIC in Europe

Giga Berlin will not manufacture a lot of vehicles in 2021 and demand in Europe for all variations is from what we know high while China expands production capacity rapidly

Legacy manufacturers use the term OTA updates as if customers don't known that it suppose to 'update vehicle software over the air'

How stupid do you believe your customers are? 🤨
VW informed that the 4 OTA SW updates they plan each year require the vehicle to be switched on or driving

SW is not downloaded if the switch on button is not activated

IOW either you drive around or you need to sit in your ID until the download is finished

No kidding 🤭
Once the download is finished the vehicle must be without a driver or passenger throughout the actualization process, the battery must have at least 50% charge and all vehicle consumers must be switched off

The second pack needs 3 hours for actualization

The first VW autonomous vehicles powered by Argo AI Image
VW rented a 55k sm large area at the Munich airport to tests the vehicle. 220 cubic meters of concrete, 16km cable conduits and a fence more than one kilometer long was erected

The 2nd phase to increase the area by 36k sm is scheduled for end of 2022
VW invested $2.6bn in Argo AI a company as you can see in the pictures is using in contrast to Tesla literally all available sensors

While Tesla vehicles drive with FSD Beta on all roads in the USA already, Argo AI is testing in a dedictaed controlled fenced area
