Hahah France24 strikes again. This time encouraging Niger Delta militants to fight for their right to equity in resource sharing.

When is France going to leave Africa alone. Conialism ended 60 years ago. They already make $500 billion in colonial taxes levied on 14 francophone
countries. These countries also domicile their foreign dollar reserves in French treasury. These countries are not legally allowed to withdraw up to 60% of their own money annually. The French use this money to trade in the stock/forex market..
..make billions of dollars in profit. None of this profit go to the impoverished African states. They are not even aware their foreign receives are traded. Apparently this not enough.

They need Uranium from Niger Republic
..I have to admit I didn't make much of it, until I discovered that 70% of the electricity generated in France come from nuclear power plants. SEVENTY PERCENT !! That's more than China and the U.S combined.

Yet Niger suffers from chronic electricity shortages and rely on
Nigeria, but their resources powers one of the most developed nations in the world. In 65 years Paris has done nothing to improve the infrastructure of these countries. Not a single kilometre of road built in any francophone state since they attained "in"dependence".
All they do is provide weapons to autocratic regimes (in servitude to Paris) to help them subjugate their people and suppress any pro democracy forces. No surprise francophone countries are the least developed in Africa. And when out of pity and goodwill Nigeria attempts to
..set these countries free from perpetual economic servitude with the Single Currency Project "ECO". An initiative that will see their currency tied to Nigerian currency, and of course, under no scenario will Nigeria domicile its currency in French banks. This will mean an end
..to the ridiculous colonial taxes levied on these countries. Not only will they finally have control over their economy, they will have unfettered assess to Africa's biggest economy, second largest foreign reserve and the largest consumer market.
Acting quickly, French President Emmanual Macron flew to francophone West Africa's biggest economy- Ivory Coast and somehow persuaded the Ivorian President to peg the ECO to the CFA. What's worse this announcement was made with the French President standing by his side.
..him in a show of support. This singular act of foreign meddling and betrayal effectively killed the ECOWAS Single Currency Project.

However you can only stretch a rubber band so far before it eventually snaps back with force. We've witnessed a wave of anti-French sentiments
..and a desire for self determination. Not since the days of colonialism has francophone countries being this assertive in their demand. The record breaking four palace coups within an eight month period has done nothing to stem the tide of a people demanding REAL INDEPENDENCE.
Paris blames Nigeria for this. Boko Haram and ISWAP have been unable to bring this African behemoth Nigeria to its knees and "hopefully" spark an all out civil war.
Instead it resulted in unintended consequence. It forced Nigeria to rebuild and modernize its armed forces on a scale that is without precedence. Going from zero to becoming one of the most sophisticated fighting force in Africa.
So the Boko Haram we all knew basically no longer exists, with ISWAP incorporating most of the fighters. Unfortunately for ISWAP this development is coming at the peak of Nigeria's force modernization and modification of operational tactics to match the reality in the ground.
It's been terrible for ISWAP. In a short period they lost 4 field commanders and two logistics commanders. The replacement commander was killed 48 hours into his new job. In a nutshell the hope of Nigeria fragmenting under the yoke of internal strife, like Libya is DEAD.
It is stunned seeing a European TV News Channel, FRANCE 24 talking about the "marginalized people of the Niger Delta"? Tacitly urging them to fight for their rights.

While civil/military agencies can identify threats posed by terrorist groups to public safety, they are ill trained and equiped to effectively respond to such threats. It requires an elite crop of highly trained forces to effectively tackle threats of such nature.
Nigeria's crop of special forces units are best trained and equipped to make decisions on the precise action to take to enhance public safety and how to respond if the worst happens.
Over the years the Nigerian military has created one of the largest, best trained, equiped and efficient Special Forces units in the world.

Groups like ISWAP/Boko Haram do not choose to strike at well defended and tightly secured facilities, places secured, patrolled and

..as we discussed in Part 1. The 10 year modernization project to transform the Nigerian army's mechanized infantry units was in full swing. In 2014 the army took delivery of 10 BTR-4E 8x8 wheeled fighting vehicles from Ukraine for evaluation, with plans to aquire 90 more.
The BTR4-E was attractive to the NA because of its multi faceted functionality. It is designed to transport infantry with amour protection while providing cover fire to suppress enemy troops and vehicles. It can swim. It has a remotely operated BM-Shturm weapons station.
These are not your regular 12.7mm calibre rounds. These turrets were armed with ZTM-1 30mm auto cannons. Secondary armament included PKT 7.62mm machine guns.

Another Boko Haram informant nabbed while spying on soldiers a few hours ago. It's over for him. All of all army formations he chose to spy on troops from the infamous and unforgiving Sector 2 Joint Task Force of Operation Hadin Kai in Katarko village, Yobe state.
The nabbed Boko Haram/ISWAP suspect is notorious for carrying out espionage activities on troops in the general area of Katarko village of Yobe State.
During preliminary investigation, the informant identified as Abor Kawu confessed to have monitored and disclosed troops’ location and movements to the terrorists. He also revealed that more Boko Haram collaborators were deployed in the general area to spy on the troops.

I like to address DMs like this publicly for those who share similar opinions.

In Nigeria we have a myriad of militant groups that has an external dimension to it. This is not your stereotypical Niger Delta MEND agitating for a "cause" kind of group.

They use high profile
..events and the media to
boost their notoriety. They marry unconventional warfare tactics with conventional military hardware. We talking 88mm mortars, 120mm artillery guns, improvised rocket artillery systems, armoured vehicles, drones for surveillance, dedicated snipers.
..gun trucks fitted with anti-aircraft guns. Boko Haram once had a rocket making factory in the Sambisa forest. Where do you think they got the technical know-how from? ..that's right..Hezbollah. Where is Hezbollah. .middle East.
