One of the best things to come out of my contribution at @synthetix_io, is seeing all the incredible people close to the project go on to build amazing things!

Some have been incubated out of Synthetix, others independent but connected indirectly

Many of them established a profile through our discord, others have just been close to our community and had lots of support from the Synthetix Spartans

Here is a thread on the SNX mafia (forever known as Spartans ⚔️)

@kwenta_io is establishing itself as an independent project with a clear mandate to deliver the best trading UX for all things Synthetix.

@TrudelAndrew @0x_dvd @_jchiaramonte are leading the charge and establishing a formidable team. Decentralised Futures anyone?!

@thalesmarket is also being spun out from Synthetix with @farmwell123 and @veryHighLander taking on Binary Options and making it a 10x better product.

Last I checked permissionless trading of sports outcomes was a thing :)

@lyrafinance is the new kid on the options block, rolling out on-chain vanilla options with a unique mechanism specifically designed for L2 (@optimismPBC)

@0xmjs has been a core contributor in some capacity since day 0, co-authoring the Havven whitepaper and has now put together a world class team to go after @DeribitExchange

@phenrikand @radek1st and @_ermin came to us in the early days of @dHedgeOrg with the idea of using Synthetix to power a decentralised hedge fund ecosystem

Allowing capital to form around transparent fund strategies with no limits on participation.
This is an incredibly powerful idea and they are skillfully executing

@illuviumio is taking on the tier 1 gaming industry with a decentralized, NFT collection and auto battler game.

@KieranWarwick has been close to Synthetix since the beginning (helps to be @kaiynne's brother) and learnt many lessons from our mistakes

They’ve built an incredible community and genuinely breaking new ground in the world of gaming

@charliekaraboga was one of the founding team members of Synthetix and has since gone on to build critical infrastructure with @relaypay_io

Offering the most efficient on/off ramp in Australia and building a suite of products to bring the masses to DeFi- their mission is to onboard the next 100m users into crypto.

DeFi yields for normies could be a market right?

@mjayceee was an early Spartan who identified a market for set and forget staking and liquidity strategies for Synthetix.

xToken has gone on to take that opportunity to other ecosystems like @KyberNetwork @1inch and @AaveAave

Many moons ago @LordTylerWard spoke to Kain about risk tranching and the lack of sophistication around DeFi risk

These early conversations turned into @Barn_Bridge and I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know both @LordTylerWard and @Danny_Desert as they build out more features and expand their interests into projects like @universe_xyz

Both huge supporters of Synthetix and with tons of product cross over, we’re proud to have them alongside us building lego blocks

@ASvanevik was another early Synthetix discord member who dropped tons of alpha and knowledge in various channels (just check the history of #on-chain-activity)
He subsequently went on to build @nansen_ai- a leading analytics platform which is taking on the world

@Arthur_0x was one of two community members who did more than any other to raise awareness for Synthetix during crypto winter. He advocated, wrote in depth research and consistently went to battle for the project when few did

His rise as a crypto influencer and top investor has been amazing to watch and culminated in @DeFianceCapital
What a journey!

Most of crypto knows who @DegenSpartan is but in the early days he was the other Spartan alongside @Arthur_0x who amplified Synthetix through clever analysis and witty humour

He was in the trenches when it felt like all was lost and is one of the most intuitive investors I’ve ever come across.
You can thank G for creating the Spartan meme...no more needs to be said

@Rewkang followed @Arthur_0x and @DegenSpartan in contributing mechanism design ideas and ways to improve the protocol. He spent a ton of time in discord and was a leading voice in discussions. Always destined to formalise his investment acumen, he founded @MechanismCap

And last but not least our friends at @hiFramework.
@pythianism and @im_manderson were the first large fund to come into Synthetix post crypto winter. Their vote of confidence and subsequent activism, along with tool building were a huge part of the rise over the next 12 months

They were already well and truly established but their advocacy and contribution to the Synthetix ecosystem was a part of their rise to becoming the kings of DeFi.

A pleasure to watch it live with many more successes to come
