BREAKING: ARMENIAN SOLDIER KILLED BY AZERBAIJANI FIRE ON THE BORDER WITH NAKHICHEVAN AS A RESULT OF A SKIRMISH AT 10:30 AM.
Azerbaijani MoD reports one of its soldiers was wounded in the direction of Sadarak, Nakhichevan.
The Armenian MoD identified 38-year old contract soldier, Private Samvel Alaverdyan as the soldier killed by Azerbaijani fire on the Armenian-Nakhichevan border earlier today.
The place where the skirmish took place is in the vicinity of Tigranashen exclave which is de jure Azerbaijani territory but de facto under Armenian control.

The main highway connecting northern Armenia with southern Armenia passes right by the village (yellow lines on map)

ARMENIA FOUNDED A NATIONAL AIR CARRIER IN THE FORM OF A JOINT VENTURE WITH AIR ARABIA.

Emirati low-cost airline Air Arabia and the National Interests Fund of Armenia inked an agreement to establish the joint venture.
Details:
Armenia's national air carrier plans to operate flights by the summer of 2022.
The directions of flights will be decided after the company conducts a survey. The opinion of the Armenian diaspora and tourists will be included.

ALIYEV MAKES LOUD STATEMENTS CONSIDERS YEREVAN, SEVAN, AND ZANGEZUR "ANCESTRAL LANDS."

"Baku receives information through unofficial channels that Armenia is not ready to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan," he said, adding that he considers this to be a big mistake.
Aliyev: "If Armenia does not want this, then this is their business. But they need to think carefully, otherwise it will be too late."
Aliyev: "the people of Azerbaijan will return to their ancestral lands," adds that he considers Yerevan, as well as Sevan and Zangezur as Azerbaijani ancestral lands.

I am seeing lots of misinformation and panic about the inflow of Iranians to Armenia.
As someone who is on the ground here, let me clarify some points:
- Almost all of the Iranians are here either to get vaccinated against Covid-19, or have visa appointments at the U.S. Embassy.
After the closure of border for almost a year, the number of Iranians waiting to emigrate, visit, study in the U.S. rose. As soon as the borders opened, all of them rushed to Armenia, which is next door, to visit the U.S. Embassy to sort their paperwork.
These people are not here to invade Armenia, or anything of that sort. They would leave as soon as they get their papers. Their end goal is to end up in the U.S.

RUMOR: Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan could be appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs according to ArmLur.
Grigoryan has no diplomatic experience, he spent most of his career working for NGOs.
It's too early to draw conclusions, as these are still rumors but if this appointment happens, it will be clearer and easier to draw conclusions concerning the war and it's outcome.

Leaders of "Armenia Alliance" Ishkhan Saghatelyan (ARF) and Vahe Hakobyan (Armenian Renaissance) held a press conference during which they touched upon the post-election crackdown by the government in two key areas where Armenia might make concessions in the coming period.
Iskhan Saghatelyan: the power structures and judges take direct orders from the Prime Minister to crack down on "Armenia Alliance" team members, it comes at no surprise that the crackdown includes those who organized the defense of Syunik during the war.
The Chair of the Supreme Council of the ARF in Armenia also touched upon the dismissal of the commander of the 3rd Corps Grigoriy Khachaturov, who was responsible to defend Tavush province. An area where key enclaves/exclaves could be surrendered.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Argentinean-Armenian investor Eduardo Eurnekian.
Pashinyan spoke first saying that Eurnekian's visit is important as he is one of the important investors in Armenia, moreover among the diasporan investors in Armenia.
Pashinyan stated that the country passed through very hard trials and on June 20, his government reconfirmed the mandate it had under the slogan of "There is Future," adding that he hopes Eurnekian's work schedule and mood is aimed at bolstering Armenia's economy and future.
Eduardo Eurnekian, in turn, stated that unfortunately the pandemic introduced changes in our agendas, but it seems that is being overcome and he was able to visit Armenia.
