So I just looked at this Freedom Phone and... wow. Is it a scam? It looks like a scam.

It's "uncensorable" and it's 500 bucks and you can pay now but it doesn't exist yet. freedomphone.com 
It promises an "uncensorable App Store" which means an app store full of spyware, scamware and malware.
It says it has its own FreedomOS Operating System. But if it did, it wouldn't have apps. So if it exists, it's an Android underneath.
"It Does Everything Your Current Phone Does." but there are no device specs at all because I assume there's no actual phone. They don't know what my current phone can do anyway so they can't make that promise.
"Ships in August". Sure it does.
Best case, this is some 100 buck Chinese phone reskinned with a tweaked Android and a sideloading insecure app store. Worst case it's a 500 buck donation to whoever these guys are, followed by a lot of chargebacks to Shopify who's hosting them.
