Once the vaccine was offered to my team at MCTP, I signed right up. Getting vaccinated was a huge relief and it allowed me to easily travel for work, spend face-to-face time with my team, and safely meet folks like @PatDonahoeArmy @TedMartin1775 & @stephdmartin and @MSNCMD_MAZ

Knowing my family has almost all been vaccinated is also a huge relief. My mom and (most of) my siblings and my niece and nephew, and my ex-husband too. I still worry about them all but this helps.
It’s also a huge relief to know that being vaccinated helps me reduce the spread of the virus. I was able to better focus on my work during the exercises compared to the earlier exercises when none of us were vaccinated yet. Even just that change made me much better at my job.
And now being vaccinated is making it easier for me to change jobs and move without that full added concern.
Could I still get it? Possibly.
But I haven’t gotten it yet and with the changes in my behavior since, I have no doubt the vaccine is to thank for that. #gettheshot 💉

Of course, if you can’t get vaccinated for some reason, that’s unfortunate. And it’s up to people like me to get vaccinated to help protect you. But everyone that can, I recommend it. Even just the peace of mind that comes with it can make a difference. #gettheshot 💉
