New evidence ties Jaysh-al-Islam -- the Saudi-funded "rebel" death squad involved in the staged chemical attack in Douma -- to the abduction and disappearance of Syrian lawyer and activist Razan Zaitouneh. dw.com/en/exclusive-h…
Two months her Dec. 2013 abduction, "a member of Jaish al-Islam accessed his social media accounts via a computer given to Zaitouneh and Khalil by a US State Department-funded program." The US gov't then traced the computer to a JAI prison in Douma.
The fact that Zaitouneh had a US gov't-supplied computer suggests that they were working together in some capacity. In any event, why didn't the US make this publicly known? Were they covering up for Jaysh-al-Islam, one of the key "rebel" groups in the Dirty War?
The US has certainly covered for JAI in the Douma deception of April 2018. Despite ample evidence that a chemical attack was staged by JAI and White Helmets there, the US blamed Syria and has tried to bury the OPCW investigation that undermined the official narrative.
And the US apparently has no issue with this:

"Today, Jaish al-Islam continues to operate in Syria, where it has integrated into the SNA, a loose collective of hard-line rebel groups supported by NATO member Turkey. Its leaders freely cross into Turkey without fear of redress."
Remember this story when someone claims that attempts to expose the OPCW cover-up amounts to war crimes denial. Those making that charge are covering up for death squad Jaysh-al-Islam.

US does so even though it knows that JAI killed one of its partners, a human rights lawyer.
UK gov't is complicit too. Months after the US traced Zaitouneh's computer to Jaysh-al-Islam & they were publicly identified as likely kidnappners, a UK gov't document described JAI as part of the "moderate armed opposition." theguardian.com/world/2016/may…
Correction to above: *may have killed. Not confirmed that Zaitouneh has been killed. What's confirmed is that she was abducted, imprisoned, and abused by JAI -- all during the period when the US was fighting on its side in Syria.

I want to thank voices who not only covered but also criticized the McCarthyite TYT smear campaign against me & @jimmy_dore. To my surprise, more established lefty voices stayed silent. I appreciate @jacksonhinklle @vanguard_pod @LeeCamp @HardLensMedia for filling the void.
The fact that the US just bombed Syria & US troops are occupying it (along with imposing murderous sanctions) should underscore that it's derelict for left media to avoid it -- & avoid speaking out when those who do cover it are slandered for challenging the establishment line.
And the fact that no one took seriously the weaponization of MeToo to slander Jimmy (and cover-up for the slander of me) -- for a joke that he apologized for 7 years ago -- doesn't mean that it wasn't shameful, and worthy of condemnation. TYT's behavior shouldn't be tolerated.

Why is Biden putting US troops in harm's way in Syria? It's the question we're not supposed to ask -- and media never does -- but our leaders have made it plain. Trump said we're there for the oil; Biden official Dana Stroul has said US troops are "leverage" for Dirty War goals.
Biden official Dana Stroul in 2019: via military occupation, the US "owns" Syria’s "resource-rich" "economic powerhouse" region. That is "leverage for affecting the the overall political process for the broader Syrian conflict."
Read @BenjaminNorton of @TheGrayzoneNews on how
a top Biden official once bragged that the US military "owns" one-third of Syria, and uses that region as "leverage." This is why US troops are under rocket fire now.

I told @ryangrim that, if he really believes Pat/TYT claims that OPCW whistleblowers (and me) are wrong, The Intercept should commission him to write its -- and Pat's -- first story on the OPCW leaks, & show why.

Here's Pat preemptively declining the opportunity. I wonder why?
Pat's excuse is that TI "already covered Douma in depth + their reporting debunked Henderson’s idea that canisters didn’t fall from the sky."

Except TI has done ZERO reporting on OPCW's Douma leaks, including Henderson's study. So TI "debunked" something it hasn't mentioned? 🤡
It never stops being hilarious that people who have done zero reporting on the OPCW cover-up -- or in @ryangrim's case, work for an "adversarial" that has ignored it -- claim some grounds to try to minimize it. No wonder they refuse to back up their views in writing.

I went on Rising to discuss the The Young Turks' lies about me and Jimmy Dore, and how -- on the bright side -- their meltdown has helped bring media attention the OPCW's Syria cover-up scandal that everyone else has ignored:
In our interview, Rising played a clip of @cenkuygur recently calling @jimmy_dore a liar: "He says I'm in favor of bombing Syria. I've never said that. He's a preposterous liar." Cenk is lying, as I'll show in the next tweet.
In the interview, I noted that @cenkuygur is lying. In 2013, he advocated bombing Syria following an alleged (& since debunked) gov't chemical attack. Cenk argued that the US should be "sending a message" with bombs. "We can't have our bluff called and not do anything about it."

Rather than apologize for their McCarthyite slander of me, @cenkuygur & @anakasparian doubled down w/ more shamelessness: whitewashing the OPCW's Syria scandal with a "journalist" who's done no journalism on the topic & has no idea what he's talking about.
Notice how no one's written a single rebuttal to my 10 articles, 2 UN presentations, + many videos on the OPCW's Syria scandal? That's because they can't address the facts. So it's kind of ridiculous to even respond to hacks who can't respond to the minimal facts to begin with.
The reason I do it is because TYT are dumb propagandists: while most Syria Dirty War apologists understandably try to pretend that the OPCW's Syria cover-up -- and the veteran scientists who challenged it -- don't exist, TYT was deranged & desperate enough to try to whitewash it.

Happy 50th birthday Tupac. Can never process the fact that he was just 25 years old. (and RIP Shock G, who produced this song)
And for levity, one of my favorite sketches ever:
I have no idea about the specific claims in this article, but Pac's family history of Black Panthers activism is fascinating, & the amount of shady LAPD cops around Death Row at the time is worth looking into. covertactionmagazine.com/2021/06/16/tup…
