RANT WARNING AHEAD!!!

Let me first start by saying that those of you who have been supportive on this and other platforms, I cannot thank you enough. It's your support alone that keeps us going at this point and if not for it, I surely would give up and see my dream die. ⬇️

Also, those of you that know me well, and some do, know that it's going to kill me to be this pessimistic. I don't like it and I'm sorry but I'm on the edge of a breaking point about this and I need to get it out!

Today, several people that I know of have received notice that they will no longer be paid for their content on @Medium because the service Medium uses, @stripe , will not allow payment for adult content. While more and more platforms are cracking down on this content due in⬇️

part to things like SESTA/FOSTA, this is making it especially difficult for adult content creators to follow a dream and make any kind of money off their creative content. It's bullshit!!! While I understand the intention behind laws like these, it's killing us.

And before you go saying, 'well it's not Medium it's Stripe", just stop! Medium touts being a platform for all to exercise creativity and get your work, your stories out there for the world. If that were true, they would stand against this. They would make a different decision.⬇️

They don't have to use Stripe. They could do direct deposits like several other places do. It's bad enough that we get flagged for literally fucking everything everywhere, but pretty soon, we won't even have a platform that we can use. Yeah, I know. There are more important ⬇️

things going on in the world right now but god damnit! This is my life, this is my dream. And everyday more of it get's taken away. Where will it end before we are nothing? How far will you go to support your favorite authors? We need all the support we can right now because ⬇️

the outlook is not optimistic. Soon, there won't be anywhere for us to go. I'm going to stop now because this isn't who I want to be here and I don't want to all out break down but I had to get it out. Again, thank you to those that support us. You are literally everything! ⬇️

I will keep up this fight until there isn't anything left to fight for because it's my dream, and it's what I want. I will not see my dream die and not take a stand. They don't think we'll fight back. If they only knew how wrong they were.
