A look at the xG stats of Tammy Abraham in comparison to Lacazette, Ollie Watkins, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin to see what Arsenal could potentially be getting from the young Chelsea Striker if a deal is struck. 
to overview the recent rumors, Arsenal could be in for the 23-year-old striker in a potential 40 million pound deal after a year of loan. On paper, Abraham is a talented player and has proved that in the prem. The young striker has the potential to be special in the right place.
Tammy is good at finding good areas in the box to find shots, as shown on this goal chart from the last two seasons. He's clearly been a good player when the minutes have been given to him, especially in 19/20.
The first player I will be comparing is Alex Lacazette, now by taking a look at their xG stats from the last two seasons, 2 things jump out: 1. Tammy has been better at creating his own shots and goals, producing significantly more shots and goals per 90 minutes
The second thing is that Lacazette's eye test is confirmed. He is way better at setting up goals and playing deeper with his back to goal. However, as Tammy's xGChain90 shows, he is also very proficient at being a part of the more dangerous attacks in the final third.
These two strikers are very different players in how they operate within their squads, Tammy could be a significant upgrade when it comes to getting into dangerous areas to create good scoring opportunities. selling Laca could be a key part of a deal like this getting done...
The issue with that being Arsenal has not found a large market for the 30-year-old striker with one year left on his current deal
Here is Abraham's comparison to another young Englishman: Ollie Watkins. Ollie's xG stats remarkably sit right above the mean in every stat. Interestingly: Ollie edges out Tammy in the same areas as Lacazette
And finally here is Tammy compared to a player I've seen some Arsenal fans want instead of Abraham: Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The chart from the 19/20 season where they had similar minute totals, shows that Tammy was a better player than DCL.
In 19/20 Tammy also edged out DCL in xG goals with 18.08 to DCL's 16.11, as well as actual goals with 15 to DCL's 13. It is harder to gauge from last season just off of lack of minutes for Abraham, but if he had a similar amount of minutes he was on pace to equal DCL's total.
Going into writing this thread I was not exactly sold on the prospect of Tammy Abraham at Arsenal, the biggest hold up I had was his price tag, however as @TheShortFuse pointed out to me, given his price and goal-scoring ability the price tag is not far off of his expected price
In conclusion of this thread, I think that given Tammy Abraham's ability, goal stats and his xG stats make this the potentially solid signing for Arsenal.
