Thread: Unholy Nexus - Making Sense of What’s Going on in Afghanistan

Taliban’s strategic moves: Blessing for Pakistan! Exposed unholy nexus; intl & domestic. Recently, Kabul Regime’s engagements, @AzazSyed articles, NS-Mohib meeting & Indian interventions; all add perfectly!
.@AzazSyed met ex-NDS Chief & asked him about the solution of Pakistan’s problems; NDS Chief replied, @NawazSharifMNS was doing great & is the only solution to Pak’s problems.
Then, Mohib meets NS!
Why do our journalists need to ask NDS for the solution to Pakistan's problems?
Then, there is @ashrafghani's statement regarding LeT and Jaish, Aghan Army Chief’s visit to India, and Indian military aid to Afghanistan; connecting the obvious dots presents the evident connection of the unholy nexus at work!
Indian support for Kabul Regime, statements from Kabul & Mohib-NS meeting – It not only strengthens NS-Indian link, but it also visibly connects chain of Indian assets indicating how India manages its once valuable asset, known for dawn leaks through proxies & people like Mohib.
Not only this, Kabul Regime’s support for Indian-sponsored proxies like #PTM inside Pakistan has also been evident.

Since it has always been Pakistan vs India, therefore, to make sense of what’s going on in Afghanistan, let’s revisit the recent history!
2011 - @AtlanticCouncil Magazine published an article titled, Ally from Hell mentioning Pakistan’s double role when it comes to Americans.

theatlantic.com/magazine/archi…
2012 – "India is "lynchpin" for US strategic goals in Asia urging India “to continue with additional support to Afghanistan through trade and investment, reconstruction, and help for Afghanistan's security forces," said Panetta.
Also acknowledged, "Pakistan is a complicated relationship for both of our countries, but one that we must work to improve.”
2013 – @DalrympleWill’s article for @BrookingsInst, “Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, The Deadly Triangle”, put forward, the war in Afghanistan is always about India and Pakistan, and it will continue to do so.
csweb.brookings.edu/content/resear…
Considering this context let's take into account the empirical data establishing that the pattern being followed is based on ideological grounds where especially regional stakeholder India is pursuing its strategic goals.
October 2020 - Ajit Doval in his speech in an Ashram, talked about Rajiya and Rashtra. He stated, Rajya (state) can always come and go but Rashtirya (religion) will always be with us and our war is about Rashtriya; We will now take this war to foreign lands (enemy territory).
“We have never done it for selfish reasons. We will surely fight, on our soil and on foreign soil, but not for our personal interests. But in the interests of Amarth (spirituality),” said Doval.
This indicates that India’s involvement in Afghanistan is based on her religious interests; Chanakya’s ideology also advocates similar ideals of befriending neighbour’s neighbour.
16th February 2021 - @Malala's tweet came at the time when @JoeBiden's cabinet was being formed and the policy towards Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the region was in the making. Malala tweeted quoting alleged Ehsanullah Ehsan Twitter handle.
March 24, 2021- Press Trust of India reported, @hmohib told the @HudsonInstitute in conversation with @husainhaqqani that change in the Taliban is yet to be seen.
indiatoday.in/world/story/ta…
.@husainhaqqani replied, 'Taliban haven't kept their end of bargain so far. There's been no reduction in violence from their side in 🇦🇫 since their agreement with US & there're those who think the agreement was a mistake; Instead, US should talk more to the government in Kabul'.
13th April 2021 - @ashrafghani in an interview with @derspiegel talked about getting onboard Pakistan as the question of peace or hostility lies with Pakistan. He further talked about Taliban’s deep relationship with the state of Pakistan.
spiegel.de/international/…
He said “My visitor from Pakistan yesterday, Army Chief Gen Qamar Bajwa, clearly assured me that the restoration of the Emirate or dictatorship by the Taliban is not in anybody’s interest in the region, especially Pakistan.
However, he said, some of the lower levels in the army still hold the opposite opinion in certain cases. It is primarily a question of political will.”
[On a question on German & European role in Afghanistan]

“They can do a lot. After all, Pakistan is a state; this state has to make an important decision now. Clear messages and incentives from Germany will help –
and, conversely, they should introduce sanctions if the decision goes in a different direction than hoped.”
14th April 2021 - @POTUS's announcement regarding the withdrawal of the US forces from Afghanistan comes with a statement seeking support from the countries in the region, especially Pakistan.
rev.com/blog/transcrip…
He further talked “to track and disrupt terrorist networks and operations that spread far beyond Afghanistan since 9/11in order to shore up American competitiveness to meet the stiff competition from an increasingly assertive China.”
14th April 2021 - In a virtual meeting @POTUS assured @ashrafghani, “the U.S. and allies will remain deeply engaged with the Afghan government in supporting the Afghan forces and humanitarian and development initiatives in Afghanistan.”
president.gov.af/en/press-state…
16th April 2021 - @hmohib said he had discussed the Afghanistan transition including upcoming talks with the US and NATO with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval.
At the 6th session of Raisina Dialogue organized by the New Delhi-based Observer Research Foundation (@orfonline) and the Indian foreign ministry (@MEAIndia), @hmohib talked about the promised support for Afghan security personnel’s combat roles.
“I spoke to (Indian National Security Advisor) Ajit Doval this morning about our views and shared what should happen as we prepare for this dialogue (on the transition in Afghanistan with the US and NATO),"
@hmohib said prefacing his remarks with comments that warned of being in “uncharted territory" and that the “devil was in the details" – a measure of the complexity of the processes involved.
livemint.com
@DrSJaishankar said, “it (Afghanistan) has to have the buy-in of everybody… including those who had played negative roles in the past” – Reference was Pakistan as the backer of the Taliban.
The Indian Foreign Ministry statements also issued concerns over increasing violence in Afghanistan and indicated their close monitoring of the intra-Afghan peace process in addition to engagements with Afghan stakeholders, and regional and international partners.
28th April 2021 - @HamidMirPAK in his article, “Enough is Enough, Pakistan not Happy with Taliban” referred to “highly placed sources” & said Pakistani security agencies found links between Afghan Taliban and groups related to TTP -
“they are two faces of the same coin” but the Afghan Taliban denied this allegation.

thenews.com.pk/print/827112-e…
1st May 2021 - Afghan NSA, @hmohib stated, Taliban is an ISI-backed force that keeps seeking power that the group uses different tactics to justify the violence. According to Mohib, the Taliban gets their military equipment and explosive materials from Pakistan’s ISI.
He holds the view that the Taliban are ISI puppets and are instructed from Pakistan for “killing Afghans”, destruction of Afghanistan and the entire world knows about it, Taliban needs to explain this.
khaama.com/mohib-govt-doe…
15th May 2021 - Mohib said, “ISI, Pakistan’s intelligence agency, is not taking mercy on you (Taliban). They neither want you nor will they help you reach power.” He told the Taliban “Pakistan was sacrificing them for its own war.”
pajhwok.com/2021/05/18/pak…
Moreover, in a public speech earlier this month in eastern Nangarhar province, next to the Pakistani border, Mohib not only repeated his allegations but called Pakistan a “brothel house.”
voanews.com/south-central-…
.@hmohib had stirred a controversy in March after he accused the American special envoy, @US4AfghanPeace, of seeking personal benefit by sidelining the Afghan government during peace talks with the Taliban.
He suggested Khalilzad had sidelined Afghan leaders because of his ambitions to be a “viceroy” in an interim government if the negotiations succeed.
“We see our relationship being impacted by what is going on, and we would like to rescue it,” @hmohib told a small group of journalists in Washington.
pakistantoday.com.pk/2021/05/30/pak…
Afghan Vice President @AmrullahSaleh2 while addressing a public gathering in the southeastern border province of Khost indirectly confirmed Pakistan’s assertions.
In the speech, @AmrullahSaleh2 asserted “a Western leader” recently telephoned @ashrafghani & told him that Pakistan doesn't want to work with a “Pashtun leader in Afghanistan.” (@hmohib is an ethnic Pashtun).
He further said, neither Pashtuns nor non-Pashtuns are the threat, it’s the unity in Afghanistan, Pakistan is afraid of.
22nd May 2021 - Hamid Karzai in an interview with @derspiegel accused Pakistani Intelligence of organizing terrorist attacks which were then carried out by the Taliban.
spiegel.de/international/…
He further said, “Either the U.S. has really miscalculated strategically, or Pakistan, which is so closely linked to China and Great Britain, is simply more important than we are for achieving Washington's global goals.”
“Pakistan wants to exert strategic influence in Afghanistan through the Taliban. This traces back to fears related to the legacy of British colonial rule in the region”, Karzai added.
Also stated, “Pakistan actually would like Afghanistan to break off relations with India. That is impossible. If we give in to this, we will give up our sovereignty and independence.”
24th May 2021 - @murtazasolangi reported Afghan protesters attack on Pakistan High Commission in London. Mob vandalized Pakistan High Commission building in London and also launched a protest in front of Qatar embassy.
geo.tv/latest/351701-…
26 May 2021 - #PTM organized Jalsa in Datta Khail, North Waziristan in memory of Kharqamar massacre May 26, 2019.

@mjdawar said, “The Taliban war in Afghanistan is against the Afghans with the help of Pakistani generals that is aimed at destroying Afghan identity.
The Taliban are proxies in the state of Pakistan.”
newsintervention.com/massive-pashtu…
28 May 2021 - Taliban warned Afghanistan's neighbours against allowing the United States to operate military bases on their soil, saying they would thwart such a "historic mistake".
thenews.com.pk/latest/840352-…
29 May – 2021 - @SediqSediqqi, Minister of Interior Affairs for Strategy & Policies, ex-Spokesperson to President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan QRTed @MujMash, @nytimes correspondent based in India for South Asia & Afghanistan.

[Used # was designed & circulated by PTM]
9 June 2021 – There came a statement from Taliban denying any possible relationship with Pakistan. It came at a time when certain circles in Afghanistan accused Pakistan of supporting Taliban for so-called Strategic Depth.
14 June 2021 – Ironically, a certain Afghan circle targets Pakistan for using the Taliban to gain a foothold in Afghan territory. But they stayed silent when India engaged the Taliban under its ‘carrots for different’ levels strategy.
theprint.in/opinion/indias…
18 June 2021 – Afghan NSA @hmohib QRTed @a_siab to ascertain his claim regarding the Taliban being controlled by Pakistan. Moreover, Mohib’s disrespectful remarks against Pakistan and its officeholders appeared to become the norm.
Considering this empirical data, structural pattern of discourse construction & India’s role; covert & overt, to neutralize Pakistan’s so-called strategic depth's visible. Also, Kabul Regime’s links with anti-Pakistan lobby, NS, PTM, @ForumSaath & India need no other explanation.

Thread: The Birth of Naxalism in India

Since 2010, a pattern can be observed indicating an increase in the Naxalite insurgency in India. The word Naxalite refers to Maoist-oriented, militant insurgent separatist groups operating intermittently in India since the mid-1960s.

[1]
The roots of the Communist ideology in India can be traced back to 1925 when the Communist Party of India (CPI) was founded to instigate a national revolution against the British Imperials. Initially, tied to Stalin’s ideology, CPI suffered a blow in February 1951.

[2]
In February 1951’s meeting, the delegation was told to abandon violent revolution and participate through the democratic platforms. This has hugely influenced the CPI’s decision to abort the Telangana movement.

Shahid Alam's response to the Orientalist thesis of Dr. Hoodbhoy - Thread

He states:
“A new imperialism had descended on the Islamicate world in the 1990s. Its rules were clear. The US would support despots in the Muslim states so long as they came to terms with Israel
