It took like less than a month back then for harassment/abuse to encompass all marginalized folks such as people of colour, queer and/or transgender folks, and disabled folks to name a few.
It was days to be honest.
I mean—I got absolute racist, and xenophobia toward me early.
I left for a month on Twitter, and then came back to make my hashtag because I needed to do something grand.

I made my hashtag, which made the general media public know what was going on in games against marginalized folks.
Hashtag was used by many to talk more openly about the situation outside of games folk.

My goal was to spread awareness as to what was going on, and I did that.
When I made it—people of colour like myself were already being targeted, so it was for all marginalized folks by then.
