12/ On June 26, two more Catholic churches were tragically burned to the ground in British Columbia.

St. Ann's Church on Upper Similkameen Indian Band land, and Chopaka Catholic Church on Lower Similkameen land near the U.S. border were set ablaze.

The church was built in the 1880s and has been abandoned for some time.

As one of the most ornate churches in Alberta, it was built in 1907 and to French-Canadian ecclesiastical style.

One of the churches is an African Evangelical Church whose congregation consists of many refugees fleeing persecution based on their faith.

The century-old church had been well-preserved and included an impressive bell tower.

25/ On July 1st, the Cathedral of Mary Immaculate in Nelson, B.C. was smeared with orange paint. The cathedral displays an excellence in Roman classicism architecture despite being made out of wood.

The church was constructed in 1913 and has served the town of Tofino for over a century.

The parish has a nearly 200-year history and is a very majestic church in downtown Guelph, Ontario

29/ The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in St. John's, Newfoundland was also smeared with paint on July 1st.

The parish has a lengthy history dating all the way back to 1699 (!) and is an important landmark in the city.

30/ On July 2nd, the First Hamilton Christian Reformed Church in Hamilton, Ontario had paint smeared on its steps.
31/ St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories was vandalized with paint on July 2.

A local councilor had this to say: "It was built by Aboriginal people and that's the part of the history that I see in our community..."

32/ A different St. Joseph's Catholic Church, this time in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, had paint smeared on its doors on July 2.

Unfortunately, reports like these have been getting zero media attention.
33/ On July 3, Molotov Cocktails were thrown through the windows of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Peace River, Alberta. The fire was extinguish without causing major damage.

34/ On July 3, there was an attempt to remove a statue of St. Francis at St. Peter and Paul Anglican Church in Victoria, B.C. The church's door was also damaged.

St. Matthew's Anglican Church was built to English Gothic Revival style, and First Presbyterian Church was constructed in 1928, consisting of red brick and white stone.

It served a Polish community near Redberry Lake in Saskatchewan. A plaque states that it was built in 1909, but hasn't been used as a religious building for 40 years.

40/ On July 9, an arsonist set the abandoned Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Kehewin, Alberta ablaze. It was sadly destroyed by the fire.

It was built in 1984 and was temporarily abandoned in 2019 due to mold and dampness issues.
