AU inspired by convo with @ShadowArashi& @s0mmer_annie😭

Akira accidentally gets trapped in the Metaverse at 6 years old and grows up in Yaldy's care. He's exceptionally good at controlling his wildcard ability, knows mementos better than anyone, but forgets about his human side
Yaldy, having the "surperior" wildcard in his hands doesn't interfere with the Velvet room and so Goro ends up as Igor and Lavenza's one. PTs go into Mementos and while exploring it feel like someone is constantly spying on them. Goro was warned about another wildcard by Igor, so
they're wary of meeting him. One day Goro's taking off his mask in a safe area and hears a giggle in the distance. He looks there and sees a strange boy(shadow?) taking off his own white mask and saying in the shadow gibberish something like "fungameletsplay"
PTs is confused, is this the wildcard they were warned about? They learn that the boy's name is Akira through Goro's strange ability to understand the language shadows talk on and assume that he's also a shadow or metaverse creature.
But strangely enough, Goro builds a social link with him. He's extremely confused because the boy is a shadow? A shadow that's very interested in learning more about humans, so Goro tries to teach him japanese and just everyday human things he can bring into the metaverse.
PTs dont undertanstand anything at this point. Akira's supposedly their enemy, but he's nothing but nice to them and honestly is just a harmless catboy-like mementos creature. He helps them in the Palaces too once he's close enough with Goro. Isn't he suppossed to oppose them?
But once Goro stumbles upon a cold missing person case on his work. Case about a little boy that went missing more that 10 years ago and long assumed dead. He wouldn't have looked into it if the boy didn't look exactly like the strange boy from the metaverse.
Goro tries to question Akira about this next time he sees him but he's met with a blank look. Akira doesn't remember anything about human world but is exited about being able to go to the human world!
Goro arranges it so he's alone at first so Akira won't get overwhelmed and ho boy he's right. Akira almost has a breakdown from being in the real world for the first time since he was a kid and everything is alien and wrond and too bright for him.
Goro takes him to a cat cafe bc meeting the animal he's so fond of is the only thing that could calm him down. PTs go meet them there and, after comparing him to the missing person posters realize that he really IS the boy that disappeared.
This confirms that Akira is the other wildcard they were warned about. But the truth about him is too sad for them - a boy, kidnaped by the evil god, that doesn't even remember that he's human. PTs decide to help him reconnect with his human side, and that fucks up Yaldy's plans
Akira is conflicted when the memories long burried resurface again. Of a lonely childhood and neglectful parents, of being bullied at school and escaping from his small village to the woods and hills from it. He doesn't like it, he had a much better time with his dad-
in the metaverse, but this memories make him feel and that's something that he's lost long ago. PTs make him feel and it's scares him.

After Shido's change of heart failed and PTs find out about the prison in mementos they realize why Akira helped them in Palaces.
He thought that they help him with work for his father. He meets them in the depths of mementos, exitedly explaining that they did, and it unnerves them. Akira doesn't understand that free will means, and so all this trapped humans is just soulless prisoners to him.
They have to fight him after it's clear why they're on the opposite sides of this game, and it's a VERY tough one. They never really got to know about Akira's personas and power level before.

But they do win him by waking up his human, feeling side again.
They team up against Yaldabaoth, the fight very hard for Akira espessially, but it is necessary for the world's sake.

Akira's says his farewell to his dad before firis Sinful Shell and rewriting reality free of Yaldy's influence.
PTs thought that he might disappear like Mona bc he's long dead in society's eyes but them waking up his human side saved him. He materializes near them on the Shibuya's square and is very confused and scared bc the metaverse, the place that was his home, is no more.
PTs, and Goro espessially, help him to adjust to living in the real world 🥺 Sojiro adopts him on the spot© and it maybe a long journey before he really feels human again, but they'll get there all together.
End!! As you can guess, it's heavily inspired by @/guardiangroves's aus dlkglfkgjh
