The very greatest joy of writing a book is people enjoying and engaging with what you've written. It's the most humbling and wonderful experience and I'm so lucky and grateful to be able to live it.
Anyway I'm slightly tipsy so sorry for the off brand gushing shall now return to the task of getting home
Delighted to add that this has triggered my serial troll
Same review they left 3 weeks ago but without the libel. Extraordinary the lengths people go to. Hilarious actually

This is the problem. Fake History of the Battle of Britain being spun by a mainstream TV historian like it simply doesn't matter.

"A legend on a par with anything Homer wrote about." Yes ... in other words myth
People make bullshit up.... other people repeat the bullshit... then the bullshit is given credibility by TV shows, politicians and even supposedly credible historians...and soon you've got a lot of people believing nonsense
If only someone had written a book about this stuff

My hot Cummings take was always that he didn't have an overarching super objective. Eternal student anarchist who claimed he wanted to tear everything down but had no idea of what to put up in its place. Millions of people like that. Difference is - he got the chance to do it.
This was me on Cummings in January 2020. Jim Stark is James Dean's character in Rebel without a cause and I reckon I nailed it frankly. For once.
Anyway the answer lies in a single blog apparently. So I'll be diving back into that one tomorrow. Watch this space.

Want something to read on this rainy day and live in #Lewisham then @CroftonBooks is your friend.
With thanks to my daughter who took the picture.
If Martyn is this cross with my Audible version I'm clearly doing something right.

NHS Nurses currently earn, on average, £2750 a month. Around £620 less than Boris and Carrie spent each month on luxury takeaway meals.
A 3% pay rise would give nurses an extra £2.70 a day. Before tax.
People asking me how much I think nurses should earn. Well it's not up to me to decide but "more than the cost price of Carrie and Boris's takeaway meals" might be a good metric

Two of Farage's great great granparents were penniless migrants who came to this country in search of a better life. I wonder what they would make of their ridiculous descendant.
"D"
Yes it's in my book. Farage's immigrant great great grandparents were the Schrods from Germany. That far back we have 16 great grandparents and it's likely that many a rabid Brexiter (like all if us) has immigrant ancestors... fairly recently... that they know nothing about.

Dipping into Farage on #GBnews - and it's genuinely boring. Like watching a potato on a broken conveyor belt.
Same problem with the rest of their output. No drama. It's an echo chamber
He's doing radio on tv.
