Yeah, I noticed. Denis McDonough. Same guy who was in Oval Office September 11th 2012 when Tom Donilon came in from situation room to advise Obama on Benghazi attack.

Obama asked McDonough to summon then Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to give options.

Unfortunately covert operation "Zero Footprint", the reason for the CIA annex (weapons buy-backs), was an Obama finding memo initiated and requested by Panetta when he was CIA Director.

With Benghazi gone sideways; and with an Ambassador missing, presumed hostage at the time; Leon Panetta held a conflict of interest as Defense Secretary on this mission.

Launching an immediate rescue mission would expose the CIA. Specifically the CIA when Panetta was director.

Panetta's CIA replacement, Gen. David Petraeus, didn't know about operation Zero Footprint and held no liability for the fallout.

Hillary Clinton, Leon Panetta and by extension President Obama held the bag that night. Everything had a political prism. It was an election year.

Valuable time was lost during the White House debate (all political) about what to do. Ambassador Chris Stevens status was unknown throughout most of it.

AFRICOM Commander, General Carter Ham, was never activated to initiate a rescue mission.

Leon Panetta and President Obama ultimately decided doing nothing was the best political option. The operational security people (CIA and DoS) in Benghazi rescued themselves using chartered flights after they fled the Annex for the airport.

CIA Director Petraeus, like Carter Ham, became a liability in the aftermath. Petraeus was removed and replaced with acting director Mike Morrell.

SoS Hillary Clinton started media avoidance with a cold, then faked a slip-n-fall concussion to avoid pre-election questioning.

The FBI then claimed they could not safely travel to Benghazi to investigate. This claimed seemed even more silly when contrast against U.S. and international media walking around the compound broadcasting reports from the burned-out consulate.

The FBI stalled for 19 days to ensure any evidence of value at the consulate or annex was destroyed or removed. They arrived 19 days after the original attack.

By then everything in DC was about covering up what happened and stalling through the mid-term election.

It worked

Personally I think Hillary's 2012 'slip-n-fall' was actually a stress induced stroke. Hence the prism glasses.

The "concussion" was a cover story

Lots of people were eventually compromised over the Benghazi scandal and subsequent cover-up.

The subsequent 2012 "Thanksgiving Day fire" directly above Hillary Clinton's office in Washington DC was a tell. Few people noticed it.
