Children are at greater risk of death from car accidents, drowning, and pneumonia than COVID.
Data from the UK’s 2nd vs 3rd wave. You can see that infections and deaths have largely decoupled since vaccination.
Data from the UK show that the DELTA variant is not more infectious for children younger than 16. Young children in the UK also don’t wear masks.
Vaccines work, even when kids < 12 don’t have access yet.
Deaths nationwide are just about the lowest they have been since the start of the pandemic. This is without children < 12 having vaccine access, and with the Delta variant circulating.
