#AFG “Last night rockets landed in Kandahar airport damaging the runway. We are working to fix the runway, flights will resume after we have our runway back.” An official with civil aviation at the Kandahar airport tells me.

Sporadic gunfire around Kandahar prison. Fighting continued last night around many police stations and in and around Daaand district that shares a border with Kandahar city, residents and officials tells me.

“ We can’t sleep during the night or day. Sound of explosions, heavy weapons is disturbing. ANDSF is firing the artillery from inside the city of Kandahar, children are scared.” Multiple Kandahar residents tells me.

“Runway for Kandahar was damaged during rocket attacks last night, run way was fixed, flights has resumed again.” According to multiple officials at Kandahar airport tells me.

“In the last 30 minutes, the Americans carried air strike targeting Taliban D-30 artillery in Kandahar’s Panjway district.” Multiple Counter- Terrorism officers tells me.

“A series of US air strikes carried against Taliban in Kandahar’s Daman and Zheray districts last night and tonight. US air strikes destroyed a number of armored Humvees.” Afghan officials tells me.

Two rockets fired against Kandahar airport were fired at a time when KAM airline plane was landing, the plane ✈️ flew back to Kabul before landing, Kandahar officials say.
