AG James just announced that that Cuomo sexually harassed both former and current women in his office. jonathanturley.org/2021/03/01/mob…
James said that the investigation confirmed multiple such cases of sexual harassment. That finding will now likely trigger both political and legal responses, including impeachment proceedings.
The investigation involved 179 interviews that are now part of the record with 74,000 pieces of evidence. James calls the evidence "deeply disturbing." The findings cover multiple women including "kissing, hugging, and the making of inappropriate comments" as well as retaliation
...Cuomo is also accused of creating a "hostile workplace." Since James referred to at least one current employee in his office, the special counsel could launch immediate actions to address that workplace.
James just said that matter is closed with her office and that this is being treated as a civil matter. The report is public.

Biden admitted that "the bulk" of the constitutional experts consulted said that extending the moratorium would be unconstitutional. Yet, he indicated that he would still like to pursue it due to a couple of scholars encouraging him.
...What was astonishing is that Biden acknowledged that it is still likely unconstitutional but that they could tie it up in courts to get the money out in the interim...
...That line would be at the start of filings in federal court to impose an injunction on the program. The President expressly acknowledged that they would seek a likely unconstitutional program hoping to get money out the door before the court killed the program.

Cuomo just categorically denied any touching of the women despite James saying that it was witnessed. He also specifically called out Charlotte Bennett to say that he spoke with her out of his concern for sexual harassment.
...He insists that his personal questions were part of trying to help her work through past sexual harassment. He spoke directly to Charlotte and said that he is sorry but "I was trying to help."
Cuomo repeated his objections to the groping allegation. He denounced "trial by newspaper" and specifically said "this just did not happen."

...Unvaccinated status is now officially monetized. Holdouts now would be eligible for $100 from the feds. It is something of a perverse incentive but also highlights how prior appropriations have few limits on their use, including possible giveaways.

A German official has declared that unvaccinated citizens will have fewer "freedoms" under the new push by the government. dw.com/en/germany-law… This follows calls to make life difficult for the unvaccinated in his country. jonathanturley.org/2021/07/13/it-…
As I have said previously, it is likely that companies can impose mandatory vaccine requirements so long as they accommodate religious and health objections. We seem to be entering a new stage in vaccine policy...

Sen. Klobuchar has called on Justice Breyer to retire soon if he is going to retire. thehill.com/homenews/56358… Next Democratic senators will be sending brochures to Breyer from the Happydale Retirement Village...
...Klobuchar's comment is tame and measured in comparison to the billboard campaign by groups to push Breyer to retire. Notably, none of these members had the courage to make such calls with Ginsburg who was five years Breyer's senior with chronic health problems...
