McConnell on Senate infrastructure bill:“Best way to pass this infrastructure bill is to not try to file cloture today & speed the process.This is an extremely important bipartisan bill..And to try to truncate an amdt process on something of this magnitude,I think is a mistake."

Schumer on holding a Senate vote to extend eviction moratorium:"We are focusing on two things in the Senate right now where we can get things done. Number one,we are urging the Admin to pursue every area that they can extend the moratorium,every area because we need it extended."
Schumer: "Second, we are urging the federal gov't to put pressure on the states to get out the money...Third, we are asking the Governors and the local elected officials of other states to extend the moratorium...Those are things we are doing on that issue."

Senate passed legislation by unanimous consent to award Congressional Gold Medals to members of the US Capitol Police and those who protected the US Capitol during the Jan 6th attack.Bill passed the House 406-21 last month and it now heads to President Biden,who plans to sign it.
